UACC-In-Wall-Speaker
6.5" Woofer, 1" Pivoting Tweeter, 130W, 8 Ohm

The UniFi In-Wall Speaker is a passive two-way speaker built to disappear into a wall and be driven from a central UniFi PowerAmp, so audio becomes another managed service on the network rather than a separate system with its own rack and its own remote.

Key features

  • 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter in a two-way passive design, 47 Hz to 20 kHz ±3 dB
  • Tweeter pivots ±15° so the high frequencies can be aimed at the listening position after installation
  • 130 W power handling at 8 ohms nominal — comfortably within a UniFi PowerAmp channel
  • 86 dB sensitivity and 106 dB maximum SPL, enough for open-plan offices, retail and hospitality
  • Accepts 8 to 16 AWG speaker wire, so it takes standard installation cable
  • Polycarbonate body with a metal grille, sized at 315 × 229 × 88 mm for standard stud spacing

Frequently asked questions

Does this speaker need an amplifier?

Yes. It is a passive speaker with no electronics of its own, so it needs an amplifier — Ubiquiti designed it around the UniFi PowerAmp. That is the point of the design: amplification, zoning and control live centrally in the rack, and each room only needs speaker cable.

How many can I run from one amplifier channel?

That depends on the amplifier's output and the impedance you present it. Each speaker is 8 ohms nominal and handles 130 W. Wiring two in parallel on a channel drops the load to 4 ohms, so check the PowerAmp's rated minimum impedance per channel before planning the run.

What cable should I use?

Standard speaker cable between 8 and 16 AWG. Heavier gauge for longer runs — over about 30 metres it is worth stepping up to reduce loss. Unlike the rest of the UniFi range this is not a network device and does not use Cat6.

Will it fit a standard stud wall?

The speaker measures 315 × 229 × 88 mm, so it fits between studs at standard Australian 450 mm or 600 mm centres. Check depth clearance behind the plasterboard, particularly where insulation or services are present.

Can I aim the sound?

To a degree. The tweeter pivots ±15°, which lets you angle the high frequencies toward where people actually stand or sit. The woofer is fixed. In a long room it is worth planning speaker positions before cutting rather than relying on the pivot to correct placement.

Buying from ARC IP Networks

ARC IP Networks is an authorised Ubiquiti reseller based in Blackburn, Melbourne. Every unit we ship is genuine Australian stock with full Ubiquiti manufacturer warranty and local RMA support, backed by your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Stock levels shown on this page are live. If an item is showing available it is physically obtainable, and if you need a quantity beyond what is listed, contact us and we will give you a real lead time rather than a guess.

We hold trade accounts for installers, integrators and electrical contractors, and we price match against any written quote from an Australian supplier. For project volumes it is worth talking to us directly rather than ordering line by line.

Beyond supply we design and deploy the networks this hardware runs on — structured cabling, PoE switching, network design, and GPON fibre infrastructure through our sister company ARC DATA.
