The UniFi Access Gate Hub in depth

Gate and side door control in one hub

The Access Gate Hub is built for gate access control through connected UniFi Access readers or Intercom. It provides (2) dry gate operator terminals, plus (1) 12V lock terminal for a side door, so a gate and an adjacent side door can be managed together. A (1) AUX terminal is available for an external siren, and (5) additional inputs cover sensors and emergency. It supports a maximum of 6,000 users.

Inputs, outputs and licence plate unlock

Digital inputs cover gate exit request, gate position, side door exit request, side door position and emergency. Dry output relays are rated 30V DC, up to 1A, for the operators and the aux output. The side door lock output is 12V DC, up to 1A. When paired with an AI Camera, the hub supports licence plate unlock, and it can connect up to four UniFi Access readers or UniFi Protect cameras.

PoE++ powered, with PoE+ outputs

The hub is connected and powered using PoE++ (one 50V DC, 1A input). It also offers (4) PoE+ outputs at 50V DC, 30W per port, with a maximum of 55W aggregated. Maximum power consumption is 22W without PoE output and 60W with PoE output. Networking is via (5) 10/100/1000 Base-T ports, and the hub is managed through the Access application.

Build and installation

The polycarbonate enclosure measures 175 x 126 x 26 mm and weighs 460 g. DIN-rail mounting is included. The device itself is indoor only, while outdoor use is possible with a waterproof junction box. It operates in ambient temperatures of -30 to 60° C and 5 to 90% noncondensing humidity. Certifications listed are CE, FCC, IC, UL 294 and CAN/ULC-60839-11-1.
