The TP-Link SX3832MPP is an Omada 32-port 10GE L2+ managed switch with 24-port PoE++. Its 24 RJ45 ports run at 100 Mbps up to 10 Gbps and deliver 802.3bt/at/af PoE++ up to 90 W per port within a 770 W budget, and eight 1/10G SFP+ slots handle uplinks. It provides 640 Gbps switching, L2+ static routing, VLAN, ACL and QoS, managed through Omada SDN or standalone.

SX3832MPP overview

The SX3832MPP is TP-Link's Omada 32-Port 10GE L2+ Managed Switch with 24-Port PoE++, hardware version V1. It combines multi-gig copper and high-power PoE: twenty-four RJ45 ports auto-negotiate at 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps and 10 Gbps, and every one of them is an 802.3bt/at/af PoE++ port delivering up to 90 W, within a 770 W total PoE budget. Eight 1/10G SFP+ slots handle uplinks, and RJ45 and USB Type-C console ports provide local access.

Compared with the non-PoE SX3832, the switching hardware is the same (640 Gbps switching capacity, 240 Mpps forwarding, a 32K MAC table, a 24 Mbit buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames), but the SX3832MPP has four fans instead of two and a deeper 440 x 330 x 44 mm chassis to handle the PoE load. Its RJ45 ports start at 100 Mbps rather than 10 Mbps. Maximum power consumption with 770 W of PDs connected is 953.7 W at 220 V/50 Hz (1,010.2 W at 110 V/60 Hz), with heat dissipation up to 3,252.2 BTU/hr at 220 V. The internal supply accepts 100 to 240 V AC. Operating temperature is -5 to 45 °C.

L2+ features include 128 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces, 48 static routes, 128 static ARP entries out of 510, proxy and gratuitous ARP, DHCP server, DHCP interface, VLAN and L2 relay, link aggregation, spanning tree, loopback detection, 802.3x flow control and mirroring, together with VLAN, ACL and QoS. It is managed centrally by an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller, or standalone through web GUI, CLI, SNMP and RMON.

The SX3832MPP has a physical security lock and is rack mountable; the box contains the switch, a power cord, a console cable, a quick installation guide, a rackmount kit and rubber feet. TP-Link Australia did not publish a datasheet PDF for this model on its AU support page at the time of writing; the figures here are from the AU product specifications.
