The TP-Link TL-SL1226P is a 24-port 10/100 Mbps + 2-port gigabit unmanaged PoE+ switch. Ports 1 to 24 are 802.3af/at PoE+ with a 250 W budget, and two gigabit RJ45 ports plus two combo gigabit SFP slots provide uplinks. It offers Extend Mode (up to 250 m), Priority Mode on ports 1 to 8, Isolation Mode, PoE Auto Recovery, PD detection and intelligent power supply, in a 0 to 50 °C rated rackmount chassis.

TL-SL1226P overview

The TL-SL1226P is TP-Link's 24-Port 10/100Mbps + 2-Port Gigabit Unmanaged PoE+ Switch, current AU hardware version V5.40. It has twenty-four 10/100 Mbps PoE+ RJ45 ports, two 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and two combo gigabit SFP slots. Ports 1 to 24 are 802.3at/af compliant and share a 250 W PoE power budget, and the switch is compatible with 802.3at/af compliant powered devices. The gigabit RJ45 and combo SFP ports carry traffic up to a recorder, router or core switch over copper or fibre.

Its advanced features are all automatic or button-based, as it is unmanaged. Extend Mode provides up to 250 m of PoE power supply and data transmission. Priority Mode covers ports 1 to 8. Isolation Mode and PoE Auto Recovery are available on ports 1 to 24. PD detection and an intelligent power supply function are also listed, together with MAC address auto-learning and auto-aging and IEEE 802.3x flow control.

Performance figures are 8.8 Gbps switching capacity, a 6.54 Mpps forwarding rate, an 8K MAC table and 10 KB jumbo frames. The internal 100 to 240 V AC supply draws a maximum of 14.81 W with no PD connected and 302.88 W with 250 W of PDs connected (220/50 Hz), with heat dissipation of 50.35 and 1029.79 BTU/h. Two fans cool the switch, and it is rated for 0 to 50 °C operation and -40 to 70 °C storage, with 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity.

The TL-SL1226P has a physical security lock and a 440 x 180 x 44 mm chassis, and two mounting brackets and fittings are included for rack installation, with the power cable and installation guide. It is CE and FCC certified. Compared with the 16-port TL-SL1218MP it adds eight more PoE+ ports, extends Isolation Mode and PoE Auto Recovery to all 24 ports, and lists PD detection and intelligent power supply.
