The TP-Link SG2210MP is an Omada 10-port gigabit smart switch with 8-port PoE+. All eight RJ45 ports are 802.3af/at PoE+ with a 150 W budget and up to 30 W per port, and two 100/1000 Mbps SFP slots provide uplinks. The current V5.20 hardware is fanless. It supports Omada SDN cloud management via web or the Omada app, plus standalone web, CLI, SNMP and RMON, with static routing, VLAN, ACL, QoS and IGMP snooping.

SG2210MP overview

The SG2210MP (ARC IP code TL-SG2210MP) is TP-Link's Omada 10-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 8-Port PoE+, current AU hardware version V5.20. It has eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, all supporting PoE+, and two 100/1000 Mbps SFP slots for fibre uplinks. The PoE+ ports are 802.3at/af compliant, with up to 30 W per port and a 150 W total PoE budget. TP-Link highlights uses with IP cameras for surveillance, IP phones for conference calls and access points for Wi-Fi coverage, and it also works with non-PoE devices such as PCs and printers.

One hardware detail is worth noting: the current V5.20 specification lists a fanless design, so the switch runs silently. TP-Link's page also lists earlier hardware versions (V1 to V5); the details on this page reflect V5.20. The SG2210MP has an internal 100 to 240 V AC power supply, a durable metal casing, a physical security lock and ±6 kV surge protection, and it measures 294 x 180 x 44 mm for rackmount or desktop use; the rackmount kit and rubber feet are in the box with the power cord and installation guide. Operating temperature is 0 to 50 °C. Maximum power consumption is 170.5 W at 220 V/50 Hz with 150 W of PDs connected.

For management, the SG2210MP supports centralised cloud management through the Omada Cloud-Based Controller, Omada Hardware Controller and Omada Software Controller, from the web or the Omada app, with zero-touch provisioning through the Cloud-Based Controller. Controller-based features include automatic device discovery, batch configuration and firmware upgrading, intelligent network monitoring and abnormal event warnings. It can also be managed standalone via web, CLI, SNMP and RMON.

Its L2+ features include 16 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces and static routing with 32 static routes, which helps route internal traffic for higher efficiency, plus DHCP server and relay, static and proxy ARP, link aggregation, spanning tree, loopback detection and 802.3x flow control. VLAN, ACL, QoS and IGMP snooping are supported, with 802.1p CoS/DSCP priority across eight queues, SP and WRR scheduling, bandwidth control and storm control. Performance is 20 Gbps switching capacity, a 14.9 Mpps forwarding rate, an 8K MAC table, a 4.1 Mbit buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames.
