The TP-Link M7750 is an LTE-Advanced Cat 12 Mobile Wi-Fi rated at up to 600 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload. It shares the connection with up to 32 devices over selectable 2.4 GHz (300 Mbps) or 5 GHz (867 Mbps) Wi-Fi, has a 1.44-inch screen and a microSD slot for up to 2 TB, and TP-Link quotes up to 15 hours of use from its 3280 mAh battery, varying with the user environment.

M7750 overview

The M7750 uses an LTE-Advanced Cat 12 modem, a step up from the Cat 6 modem in TP-Link's M7400. TP-Link says it delivers 600 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload, which it positions for streaming, gaming and large file transfers. As TP-Link's footnote says, actual mobile broadband speeds vary with network configuration, signal strength and subscription terms. Like the rest of the range it is described as pocket-sized, for adventures, business trips and daily commutes.

Supported 4G bands are FDD-LTE B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20 and B28 (2100, 1800, 850, 2600, 900, 800 and 700 MHz) and TDD-LTE B38, B40 and B41 (2600, 2300 and 2500 MHz). For 3G, TP-Link lists DC-HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and WCDMA on B1, B5 and B8 (2100, 850 and 900 MHz). Check your provider's bands against this list. The M7750 needs an activated SIM card without a PIN lock, and both the nano SIM and any microSD card are sold separately.

On the Wi-Fi side, you select either the 5 GHz band (IEEE 802.11a/n/ac, 867 Mbps) or the 2.4 GHz band (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 300 Mbps); TP-Link's marketing calls this dual band 1200 Mbps Wi-Fi. Transmit power stays below 20 dBm (2.4 GHz) and 23 dBm (5 GHz). Up to 32 devices can connect simultaneously, subject to TP-Link's note that IEEE 802.11 maximum signal rates are physical rates and that throughput and device counts depend on network conditions, client limits and environment. WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, wireless MAC filtering and SSID broadcast control are supported, along with a DHCP server and client list.

Battery capacity is the M7750's other headline. TP-Link quotes up to 15 hours of use on a single charge from the internal 3280 mAh rechargeable battery, and adds that actual battery time varies with the user environment. The 1.44-inch TFT screen shows real-time data usage, battery life, Wi-Fi strength and connected devices, and its menu offers Device Info, Power Saving, WPS, Wi-Fi Band, Network Mode and Data Roaming controls. Power On/Off and Menu buttons operate it.

A micro SD card slot accepts cards of up to 2 TB for optional storage, which TP-Link suggests for group photo albums or work files. Through the tpMiFi app on iOS or Android you can access and share files on the card, set data limits, decide which devices can use the Wi-Fi and send messages. The M7750 measures 114 x 64 x 19 mm and has a USB Type-C power port, a nano SIM slot, the micro SD slot and an internal antenna. RNDIS is supported for Windows XP to 11. It operates from 0 to 35 °C and is CE and RoHS certified. The box holds the M7750, a USB-C cable, the 3280 mAh battery and a quick installation guide.
