Professional Overview

The MikroTik Chateau LTE7 ax is a high-performance home and office router that combines a fast LTE Category 7 cellular modem with dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. It is designed for households, home offices, small businesses and ISPs that rely on mobile broadband as either a primary connection or a resilient backup to fibre. The chassis carries five Ethernet ports in total — four gigabit ports plus one 2.5 Gbps port — a Micro SIM slot and a USB Type-A port, all in a clean, fanless desktop enclosure.

At its core is a 1.8 GHz quad-core ARM 64-bit IPQ-6010 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of NAND storage. The integrated R11e-LTE7 modem supports LTE Category 7 with 2×2 downlink MIMO for consistent speeds of up to 300 Mbps down and 100 Mbps up, and carrier aggregation (2×CA) allows it to use multiple bands simultaneously for far better responsiveness on busy towers. Expanded band support now includes Band 28 (700 MHz) and Band 32 (1500 MHz), noticeably improving coverage in rural and congested areas.

Dual-chain Wi-Fi 6 radios deliver 574 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz and 1200 Mbit/s on 5 GHz, while the full RouterOS v7 operating system (Level 4 licence) provides enterprise-grade capabilities: multiple secure VPN tunnels, advanced firewall and QoS rules, VLANs and complex routing scenarios. TR-069 support enables service providers to remotely provision and manage the device, and onboard CPU, PCB and voltage monitoring keeps deployments stable and observable.

Built for reliability, the Chateau LTE7 ax is passively cooled, rated to an MTBF of approximately 200,000 hours and tested across an ambient range of -40°C to 70°C, and it carries CE, EAC and RoHS approvals. It ships with a 24 V 1.2 A power adapter and a 1.5 m flat UTP cable. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
