Why choose the PTZ-N3404LIU/SL

The HiLook PTZ-N3404LIU/SL does something a fixed camera cannot: it follows. On detecting a person or vehicle it auto-tracks them across a 350° pan and 90° tilt range, zooming in up to 4× optically — real lens zoom, not a digital crop — so you get a usable face or plate rather than a distant shape. It answers intrusions with a red and blue flashing light and a 100 dB siren, and its two-way audio (microphone, speaker and line in/out) lets you challenge someone live. Infrared reaches 50 m. Supplied and supported by ARC IP Networks with genuine Australian stock, Australian warranty and local support.

Before you order: this camera requires an 802.3at PoE+ port. An 802.3af-only switch or NVR port will not run it reliably.

Best for

  • Large open areas: one pan-tilt camera covers ground that would take several fixed cameras.
  • Active deterrence: a strobe and audible alarm on confirmed human or vehicle detection.
  • Identification at distance: real optical zoom resolves faces and plates a fixed lens cannot.
  • Where you need to talk to people: two-way audio plus alarm in/out for site integration.

Who it’s for

Car parks & yards

One camera covering ground that would take several fixed units.

Schools & clubs

Grounds and equipment stores outside opening hours.

Logistics & depots

Tracking vehicles and people across a large site.

Rural & acreage

Long driveways and outbuildings at distance.

Professional Overview

The HiLook by Hikvision PTZ-N3404LIU/SL is a high-performance 4MP Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) IP camera, meticulously engineered for dynamic surveillance applications requiring precise control and superior image quality. Featuring a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor, this camera delivers crisp 4-megapixel resolution, ensuring clear and detailed footage critical for identifying subjects and monitoring events across expansive areas. Its 4X optical zoom, provided by a versatile 2.8 to 12 mm lens, allows operators to remotely zoom in for close-up views of distant objects without compromising image clarity, complemented by 16X digital zoom for further detail enhancement.

Designed to excel in challenging lighting conditions, the PTZ-N3404LIU/SL boasts exceptional low-light capabilities, capturing color video down to 0.005 Lux and black & white at 0.001 Lux. With its powerful integrated IR illuminators, it provides reliable night vision up to an impressive 60 meters, ensuring continuous monitoring even in complete darkness. This extended night vision range is crucial for securing larger outdoor perimeters or expansive indoor spaces 24/7.

The camera's robust construction is highlighted by an IP66 weather resistance rating, providing comprehensive protection against dust and powerful water jets, ensuring the camera remains fully operational even in demanding outdoor conditions. This durability makes it a dependable choice for installations in exposed environments where resilience against environmental factors is paramount.

The HiLook PTZ-N3404LIU/SL is an ideal solution for a variety of commercial and industrial applications, including parking lots, public squares, building perimeters, and large open spaces, where dynamic, precise, and robust security monitoring with long-range night vision is paramount. Its ability to pan, tilt, and zoom with precision, coupled with its excellent image quality and rugged design, makes it a powerful and versatile tool for comprehensive surveillance systems.

How it compares

Both pan, tilt, zoom and deter. The HiLook N3404LIU/SL is a single-channel PT dome with two-way audio; the Hikvision ND4404/SL is a dual-lens TandemVu that holds a wide view and a zoomed view at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. On detecting a person or vehicle it auto-tracks the target, keeping it in frame as it moves. It also supports 300 preset positions and 3D positioning, so you can click an area on screen and have the camera centre and zoom on it.

4× optical — a real motorised lens moving from 2.8 to 12 mm, so detail is genuinely resolved rather than enlarged. Digital zoom is available on top of that but, as on any camera, it only magnifies existing pixels.

Yes. The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL supports two-way talk — it has a built-in microphone, a 2 W / 100 dB speaker and line in / line out connections.

No. Night imaging is infrared, reaching 50 m, so night footage is black-and-white. The camera does carry a short-range white light, but Hikvision specifies it as a 1.2 W flashing light rated to only 6 m — it works with the red and blue strobe as a deterrent, not as a full-time colour illuminator.

PoE+ required (802.3at), max 14 W — or 12 V DC. This is PoE+, not ordinary PoE — check your switch or NVR port supports it before ordering, as an 802.3af-only port will not run this camera reliably.

Yes. It takes a microSD card up to 256 GB for on-board recording, as well as recording to a network video recorder.

Yes — Outdoor — IP66 with 6000 V surge protection, −30 to 65 °C.

It is ONVIF conformant and works plug-and-play with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs. AI event search requires a recorder that supports it.
