Specifications from Teltonika's official product data for the OTD500, checked October 2026.

The OTD500 Outdoor 5G Router in depth

Built for outdoor 5G connectivity

The OTD500 is a 5G outdoor router designed for reliable connectivity in demanding environments. Its IP55-rated housing (PC+ASA plastic) withstands harsh conditions and it operates from -40 °C to 55 °C. The 5G Sub-6GHz SA/NSA module delivers up to 3.4 Gbps downlink and 900/550 Mbps uplink, with fallback to 4G LTE Cat 19 and 3G. Four internal omnidirectional antennas mean there is nothing external to fit.

Dual SIM, eSIM and PoE for simpler deployment

Two Mini SIM (2FF) slots and an eSIM (up to 7 profiles, data plans not included) provide network flexibility and redundancy. Automatic SIM switching covers weak signal, data limit, SMS limit, roaming, no network, network denied, data connection fail and SIM idle protection. Gigabit Ethernet with PoE-in (802.3af/at) and PoE-out (802.3af Alternative B, 15 W max, power supply unit dependent) combines power and data in a single cable. The integrated mounting bracket suits vertical flat surface or pole mounting.

Management, security and industrial protocols

The OTD500 runs RutOS and is fully compatible with Teltonika's Remote Management System (RMS). It supports VPNs including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard and DMVPN, plus a firewall, VLANs, TPM 2.0 and 802.1x. Industrial and IoT features include Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, BACnet, MQTT and Data to Server. Site Manager mode provides centralised management of TAP access points and Teltonika's managed switches.
