The Cisco Meraki in depth

Branch security and SD-WAN

The Meraki MX75 is an enterprise security appliance for distributed branches that need remote administration. It combines a Layer 7 firewall, IDS/IPS, content filtering, malware protection and SD-WAN, with 1 Gbps of firewall, NGFW and VPN throughput for up to 200 devices.

Fibre-ready WAN

Three dedicated WAN uplinks, one Gigabit SFP and two Gigabit RJ45, let you connect a fibre service alongside copper, with the firmware running up to two active uplinks for load balancing and failover. On the LAN side there are ten Gigabit ports, two with PoE+, and a USB 3.0 port.

Managed from the cloud

The MX75 deploys with minimal pre-configuration and is managed entirely from the Meraki dashboard, where Auto VPN builds site-to-site tunnels automatically. Each MX is paired with an Enterprise, Advanced Security or Secure SD-WAN Plus licence.

Meraki recommends the MX75 for a small branch with up to 200 devices.
