The Cisco Meraki in depth

Re-use existing Cisco AP brackets

The MA-UMNT-MR-A2 slides onto a Cisco universal bracket that is already installed, so a Cisco access point can be removed and a Meraki MR access point fitted in the same spot. The Meraki mount cradle is screwed to the adapter with the two included screws, and the AP then clips into the cradle.

Compatibility and lifecycle

It supports Meraki indoor MR models only and needs a Cisco AIR-AP-BRACKET-1 or AIR-AP-BRACKET-2. Cisco has announced end-of-sale on December 31, 2026, with last date of support December 31, 2031, and states there is currently no migration product.
