The Cisco ISA-3000-2C2F-K9 in depth

An industrial firewall built for OT

The Cisco Secure Firewall ISA3000 brings enterprise-class firewall security to the plant floor in a ruggedised DIN-rail appliance. It is widely used as a DMZ firewall for small distributed sites, to segment large industrial networks and to terminate VPNs for remote asset management, helping with standards such as IEC 62443 and NERC-CIP.

Understands industrial protocols

Deep packet inspection covers protocols from Modbus, DNP3 and EtherNet/IP to IEC 61850 MMS and Siemens S7, so policies can allow or block individual industrial applications and commands. Talos-developed rules, including industrial-focused signatures, provide threat protection when the relevant subscriptions are added.

Keeps the process running

The copper ports include full lights-out hardware bypass, software updates run without traffic loss, and a passive learning mode is the default for first deployment. The fanless unit runs from dual DC inputs and is certified for substations, railways and Class I Div 2 hazardous locations.
