The Mercusys Halo H47BE(2-pack) is a BE9300 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system of two Halo H47BE units, rated by Mercusys for up to 6,000 ft² (550 m²). Each unit lists 5760 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, supports 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz and has three 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports.

Halo H47BE(2-pack) overview

Unlike the dual-band Halo H25BE, H27BE and H37BE, the H47BE is tri-band: alongside 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz it adds a 6 GHz band, and Mercusys lists signal rates of 5760 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a combined 9214 Mbps behind the BE9300 name. Mercusys credits three things for that figure: 4096-QAM in place of 1024-QAM, 320 MHz channels and the new 6 GHz band, which it calls a specially clean band. The 320 MHz width is only available on 6 GHz, and both 320 MHz on 6 GHz and 160 MHz on 5 GHz may be unavailable in some regions because of regulatory restrictions. Mercusys also states that 'double channel width and speed' compares 320 MHz with the 160 MHz of Wi-Fi 6 routers.

Mercusys sells the H47BE in Australia as a 2-pack, and gives it a coverage rating of up to 6,000 ft² (550 m²). The two units form one network with a single name and password. Mercusys's own description says the H47BE matches 2.5G ISP access with its three 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports, and that a remaining port can serve either as a LAN connection for a device or as a wired backhaul between Halo H units, so the pair can be linked by cable as well as wirelessly. Across the kit there are six 2.5 Gbps ports. Only one port works as the WAN at a time, and 2.5 Gbps internet speeds need a compatible plan and equipment.

Mercusys quotes over 200 connected devices for the H47BE, measured in a laboratory test that loaded the 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands at once with 4K, 1080p and 720p video, downloads, browsing, IP cameras and IoT devices. All the speed figures are physical rates from IEEE 802.11 and are not guaranteed; real throughput, coverage and device counts vary with ISP, network conditions, client limits, building materials, obstacles and traffic. Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6 functions including MLO, 320 MHz bandwidth, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA and MU-MIMO only work with clients that support them, and the 6 GHz band uses IEEE 802.11be. Phones and tablets with 802.11k/v/r are handed to the fastest node as they move, per Mercusys, which also lists 802.11k/v/r as the mesh protocol.

The specification sheet lists Router and Access Point modes, Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP and PPTP WAN types, DHCP server and client, IPv4 and IPv6, WMM quality of service, an SPI firewall, and local, remote and multi-manager management. Guest networks are available on all three bands, and wireless security is WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE (WPA3 needs client support). Setup and day-to-day control are in the Mercusys app, which covers parental controls, connected-device status, QoS, guest networks, new-device alerts and monthly reports. The 2-pack box holds two Halo H47BE units, two power adapters, one RJ45 Ethernet cable and a Quick Installation Guide. Each unit measures 170 x 122.4 x 103.5 mm and has a reset button. Mercusys lists V1 and V2 hardware versions; this page follows the Australian V1 page. Other Halo H series units can extend the system, but S series units cannot.
