The Mercusys Halo H37BE(2-pack) is a BE6500 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system of two Halo H37BE units, which Mercusys rates for up to 5,000 ft² (460 m²). Each unit reaches 5760 Mbps on 5 GHz with 160 MHz channels and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, has two 2.5 Gbps ports and one 1 Gbps port, and Mercusys says it connects over 200 devices.

Halo H37BE(2-pack) overview

Compared with the BE3600 Halo H25BE and H27BE, which list 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz, each H37BE lists 5760 Mbps on 5 GHz alongside 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, which Mercusys rounds to a 6.5 Gbps BE6500 class. It uses 160 MHz channels and 4096-QAM, and the listed Wi-Fi functions are MLO, Multi-RUs and beamforming. Mercusys notes that 160 MHz on 5 GHz may be unavailable in some regions because of regulatory restrictions, and that Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO and 4K-QAM need clients that support them. The signal rates are physical rates from IEEE 802.11 rather than measured throughput.

This pack holds two units, and Mercusys gives the 2-pack a coverage rating of up to 5,000 ft² (460 m²). Setting up follows the Halo routine: the first unit is configured as the main Halo in the Mercusys app, and the second joins the network automatically when you power it up in another part of the home. Mercusys says the Halo system moves phones and tablets to the fastest node, for clients that support 802.11k/v/r. It also quotes over 200 connected devices for the H37BE, a laboratory result from mixed 4K, HD video, download, browsing, IP camera and IoT traffic on both bands. Mercusys does not guarantee throughput, coverage or device counts.

Each H37BE has two 2.5 Gbps ports and one 1 Gbps port, all of which auto-sense WAN or LAN. That gives the pair four 2.5 Gbps ports and two gigabit ports, so a multi-gig internet connection can come in on one unit and a desktop or console can take a 2.5 Gbps wired link. Mercusys points out that 2.5 Gbps internet speeds require a compatible service plan and equipment, and that only one port in the system can be the WAN. Router and AP modes are supported, with Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP and PPTP connections, IPv4 and IPv6, and IPTV via IGMP Proxy, IGMP Snooping, bridge and Tag VLAN.

The H37BE housing is larger than the BE3600 models at 150 x 94 x 86 mm, with a 12 V / 2 A power adapter and a maximum consumption of 18 W per unit. Security covers WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE wireless encryption, an SPI firewall and access control, and the Mercusys app adds new-device alerts, guest networks on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, QoS priority, and parental-control profiles with time limits, website filtering and a pause option. The 2-pack box contains two Halo H37BE units, two power adapters, one RJ45 Ethernet cable and a Quick Installation Guide. Additional coverage can come from other Halo H series units; Mercusys states H and S series Halos are not compatible.
