The Mercusys Halo H25BE(3-pack) is a three-unit BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 mesh kit that Mercusys rates for up to 7,000 ft² (650 m²). Every Halo H25BE in the box is dual-band, with 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and has three 1 Gbps WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports, giving nine wired ports across the kit. MLO, 4K-QAM and Multi-RUs are supported, and the Mercusys app runs setup and management.

Halo H25BE(3-pack) overview

Three Halo H25BE units come in this kit, and the Mercusys figure for the 3-pack is coverage of up to 7,000 ft² (650 m²), against 460 m² for the two-unit version. The extra Halo is the point of the larger kit: one sits at the modem as the main unit and the other two are spread further out, each joining the network automatically after the main Halo has been configured in the Mercusys app. All three broadcast one network, and Mercusys says the system hands phones and tablets to the fastest node as people walk around. Client devices need 802.11k/v/r for that seamless roaming, and some may need extra configuration. Mercusys's coverage figures are not guaranteed; building materials, obstacles, traffic density and client location change real results.

On the radio side, every H25BE is a BE3600 dual-band 802.11be design that still talks to 802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n clients. Its 5 GHz band runs at up to 2880 Mbps and its 2.4 GHz band at up to 688 Mbps, using channels up to 160 MHz wide. Mercusys credits 4096-QAM, up from 1024-QAM, for the 3.6 Gbps headline and lists Multi-Link Operation, Multi-RUs and beamforming among the wireless functions. These are physical signal rates from the IEEE 802.11 standard. Wi-Fi 7 functions such as MLO and 4K-QAM only come into play with clients that also support them, and Mercusys warns that firmware updates may be needed for full feature availability.

Mercusys quotes over 150 connected devices for the H25BE, based on a lab test that ran a mix of video streams, downloads, browsing, IP cameras and IoT devices on 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz at once. With three units the wired side grows too: each has three 1 Gbps ports that auto-sense WAN or LAN, so the kit offers nine ports for desktops, TVs and consoles in different rooms. Only one port across the system can act as the WAN at any time. You can grow the network further with more Halo H series units; Mercusys states the S series is not compatible with the H series.

Setup and day-to-day control go through the Mercusys app on iOS or Android, linked to a Mercusys ID. From the app you can see which devices are online, prioritise or block them, open 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz guest networks, get an alert when an unfamiliar device connects, and build parental-control profiles with daily time limits, a website block list and an internet pause. The H25BE runs in Router or AP mode and accepts Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP or PPTP connections. IPTV options are IGMP Proxy, IGMP Snooping, bridge and Tag VLAN, and security covers WPA3-SAE, an SPI firewall and access control. The 3-pack box holds three Halo H25BE units, three power adapters, one RJ45 Ethernet cable and a Quick Installation Guide. Per unit, Mercusys lists 128 x 81.3 x 83.7 mm, internal antennas, one SYS LED with a night mode, a reset button and a 13.32 W maximum draw.
