The Mercusys Halo H25BE(2-pack) is a BE3600 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system made up of two Halo H25BE units. Mercusys rates the 2-pack for up to 5,000 ft² (460 m²) of coverage. Each unit offers signal rates of 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, Multi-Link Operation and 4096-QAM, three gigabit WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports and setup through the Mercusys app.

Halo H25BE(2-pack) overview

This kit contains two Halo H25BE units, and Mercusys states that the 2-pack covers up to 5,000 ft² (460 m²). One unit connects to your modem and becomes the main Halo; the other is placed where the signal is needed, and once powered up it joins the network automatically. Mercusys describes Halo as a unified system with one network, and says the system connects phones and tablets to the fastest node as you move around the house. That seamless roaming needs clients that support 802.11k/v/r and may require extra setup. If two units are not enough, more Halos can be added later, but only from the Halo H series: Mercusys notes that H series and S series units cannot work together.

The H25BE is a BE3600 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) unit, backwards compatible with 802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n devices. Mercusys lists 2880 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with a maximum channel width of 160 MHz. The step from 1024-QAM to 4096-QAM (4K-QAM) is how Mercusys explains the 3.6 Gbps figure, and the Wi-Fi functions listed are MLO (Multi-Link Operation), Multi-RUs and beamforming. Mercusys says MLO increases throughput, reduces latency and improves reliability. Wi-Fi 7 features only work with clients that support them, and Mercusys adds that this Halo may not support every mandatory feature of the 802.11be specification and may need later software upgrades.

Mercusys says the H25BE can connect over 150 devices. That figure comes from laboratory testing of mixed devices on both bands running 4K, 1080p and 720p video, file downloads, browsing, IP cameras and IoT traffic in the same room. The signal rates are physical rates derived from IEEE 802.11, and Mercusys does not guarantee throughput, coverage or device counts: ISP factors, network conditions, client limitations, building materials, obstacles, traffic and client location all affect results. With the pair, the same caveats apply to the 460 m² coverage rating.

Each unit has three 1 Gbps ports with WAN/LAN auto-sensing, so you do not need to work out which port is which; any of them can be the WAN, but only one at a time. Across the pair that is six gigabit ports for wired PCs, TVs or consoles. Router and Access Point modes are listed, with Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP and PPTP WAN types, IPv4 and IPv6, and IPTV support through IGMP Proxy, IGMP Snooping, bridge and Tag VLAN. Wireless security is WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE, and the router side adds an SPI firewall and access control. The Mercusys app handles setup, live device status, QoS priority, guest networks on both bands, new-device alerts and parental controls with profiles, time limits, website filtering and a pause button. In the 2-pack box are two Halo H25BE units, one RJ45 Ethernet cable, two power adapters and a Quick Installation Guide. Each unit measures 128 x 81.3 x 83.7 mm, uses a 12 V / 1.5 A adapter and draws up to 13.32 W.

Last reviewed October 2026.

Two Halo H25BE units, one RJ45 Ethernet cable, two power adapters and a Quick Installation Guide.

Mercusys rates it for up to 5,000 ft² (460 m²). Real coverage depends on building materials, obstacles and other environmental factors.

BE3600: signal rates of 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are physical rates from the 802.11 specifications, not guaranteed throughput.

No. It is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 system using 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz.

Three 1 Gbps ports with WAN/LAN auto-sensing. Any port can be the WAN, but only one at a time.

Yes, from the Halo H series. Mercusys says H series and S series units cannot work together.

The system steers devices to the fastest node. Seamless roaming requires clients that support 802.11k/v/r and may need additional setup.

With the Mercusys app on iOS or Android. You configure the main Halo, then power up the add-on unit and it joins automatically.
