The Mercusys Halo H27BE(3-pack) is a BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 mesh system of three Halo H27BE units, rated by Mercusys for up to 7,000 ft² (650 m²). Every unit is dual-band (2880 Mbps on 5 GHz, 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) and has a 2.5 Gbps port plus two gigabit ports, so the kit offers three 2.5 Gbps and six 1 Gbps ports. Mercusys app setup, MLO and 4096-QAM are included.

Halo H27BE(3-pack) overview

For homes that need a third access point, the H27BE 3-pack supplies three identical Halo H27BE units and a Mercusys coverage rating of up to 7,000 ft² (650 m²); the two-unit pack is rated at 460 m². Configure the first Halo at the modem with the Mercusys app, then switch on the remaining two in the areas that need signal and they join automatically. The three nodes behave as a single network with one Wi-Fi name and password. Mercusys's coverage numbers are lab-style maximums, not guarantees, and real results move with walls, floors, interference, traffic and where clients sit.

Each unit has the same wired layout: a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN auto-sensing port and two 1 Gbps WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports. Across the 3-pack that adds up to three multi-gig ports and six gigabit ports, enough to put a wired PC, TV or console near each Halo. Mercusys suggests the 2.5 Gbps port for multi-gig internet access or a fast wired connection, and notes that 2.5 Gbps internet speeds need a compatible plan and equipment. Whatever the layout, a single port in the system acts as the WAN.

Wireless performance per unit follows the BE3600 class: 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, dual-band only, with a maximum channel width of 160 MHz and backwards compatibility with 802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n clients. Mercusys explains the 3.6 Gbps total through 4096-QAM replacing 1024-QAM, and lists MLO, Multi-RUs and beamforming. These are physical rates from the IEEE 802.11 standard, and Wi-Fi 7 functions require clients that support them. Mercusys says the H27BE connects over 150 devices, a figure drawn from its lab test of simultaneous streaming, downloads, browsing, cameras and IoT gear on both bands, and adds that seamless roaming needs 802.11k/v/r clients.

Management features include Router and AP modes, all common WAN types (Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP), IPv6, IGMP Proxy and Snooping with bridge and Tag VLAN for IPTV, DHCP address reservation, port forwarding, UPnP, Mercusys DDNS, QoS priority control, an SPI firewall and access control, plus LED control with a night mode. Wireless security options are WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE. The Mercusys app adds parental profiles, online time limits, site blocking, an internet pause, guest Wi-Fi, connected-device status and alerts for unknown devices. Inside the 3-pack box: three Halo H27BE units, three power adapters, one RJ45 Ethernet cable and the Quick Installation Guide. Each Halo is 128 x 81.3 x 83.7 mm with a 12 V / 1.5 A adapter and 13.32 W maximum consumption. Mercusys lists H series compatibility only, so Halo S series units cannot be added.
