Modem Router FAQ — DSL-226

What is the DSL-226?

The D-Link DSL-226 is a wireless n300 vdsl2/ adsl2+ modem router — a combined VDSL2 / ADSL2+ modem and Wi-Fi router for Australian NBN Fibre-to-the-Node (FTTN), Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB), and legacy ADSL copper services.

Does the DSL-226 work on NBN FTTN / FTTB?

Yes. The built-in VDSL2 modem is rated for Australian NBN Co FTTN and FTTB profiles. No separate modem required — connect the RJ11 telephone lead directly.

Can the DSL-226 be used on NBN FTTP or HFC?

On FTTP, FTTC, and HFC the NBN connection box hands off Ethernet — in that case use the Gigabit WAN port on the DSL-226 (bypass the built-in VDSL modem).

Does the DSL-226 have VoIP?

No VoIP on the DSL-226. For VoIP-capable modem routers, see the DSL-X1852E, DSL-X3052E.

What warranty does the DSL-226 include?

D-Link ships the DSL-226 with a 3-Year Limited Warranty. ARC IP Networks handles warranty claims locally in Australia.

Configuration via intuitive web GUI or mobile app. Advanced users have access to per-port VLAN, DDNS, port forwarding, DMZ, schedule-based rules, and firmware OTA updates.

The DSL-226 is genuine D-Link Australia stock held by ARC IP Networks. Australian warranty, local pre-sales support on carrier compatibility (for mobile models) and NBN service compatibility (for DSL models) included.
