Professional Overview

The MikroTik cAPGi-5HaxD2HaxD&EG12-EA, known as the cAP ax LTE12, is a groundbreaking, all-in-one wireless solution meticulously engineered to provide exceptional performance and versatile connectivity for modern offices, large homes, and demanding remote environments. This device seamlessly integrates a high-speed CAT12 LTE modem with advanced Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless technology, offering a robust and future-proof solution for both primary internet access and local network distribution. It's an indispensable asset for users seeking superior mobile broadband capabilities combined with next-generation Wi-Fi performance in a single, discreet form factor.

At its core, the cAP ax LTE12 features an integrated CAT12 LTE modem, capable of delivering impressive downlink speeds of up to 600 Mbps and uplink speeds of 150 Mbps. This performance is significantly enhanced by 3x Carrier Aggregation, which allows the modem to combine up to three LTE frequency bands simultaneously, maximizing throughput and reducing latency, especially in areas with moderate cellular coverage. This ensures a consistent and reliable mobile broadband connection, serving as an excellent primary internet source, a dependable failover solution where wired internet is prone to interruptions, or a robust link for remote data applications. The integrated LTE antennas and Micro SIM slot simplify deployment, making it ready for cellular internet out of the box.

Beyond its robust cellular capabilities, the cAP ax LTE12 excels in wireless performance with integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology. This latest Wi-Fi standard delivers significantly faster speeds, greater network efficiency, and increased capacity for a multitude of connected devices simultaneously. Its concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 2x2 MIMO operation ensures comprehensive coverage, minimizes interference, and maximizes throughput for all your wireless clients, from smart home devices to high-bandwidth workstations. The two Gigabit Ethernet ports further ensure robust wired connections, with flexible PoE-in (802.3af/at & Passive) on Ether1 to power the device, and Passive PoE-out on Ether2 to power a downstream device like an IP camera or another MikroTik unit, simplifying cabling and installation.

Powered by a capable Quad-Core ARM CPU clocked at 864 MHz and supported by 1GB of DDR4 RAM, the cAP ax LTE12 efficiently handles complex routing tasks, advanced wireless protocols, and RouterOS features, guaranteeing a responsive and stable network environment. Running MikroTik's industry-leading RouterOS (License Level 4), it offers an extensive suite of networking functionalities. Network administrators gain granular control over advanced routing protocols, robust firewall capabilities, Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization, comprehensive VPN support, VLAN management, and CAPsMAN centralized management. Its compact and discreet ceiling/wall mountable design blends aesthetically into any modern interior while providing optimal thermal management. This powerful combination of hardware and sophisticated software makes the MikroTik cAPGi-5HaxD2HaxD&EG12-EA cAP ax LTE12 a strategic investment for building resilient, high-bandwidth, and future-proof network infrastructure that can adapt to evolving demands for speed, capacity, and security, ensuring long-term operational stability and efficiency.
