The Cisco C9500-32QC-E in depth

Catalyst 9500 32-Port 40G / 16-Port 100G in 1RU

The C9500-32QC-E is one of the high-performance Catalyst 9500 models, Cisco's fixed enterprise core and aggregation switches. It provides 32 ports of 40 Gigabit Ethernet with QSFP+, or 16 ports of 100 Gigabit Ethernet with QSFP28 in a single rack unit, with up to 3.2 Tbps of switching capacity from the UADP 3.0 ASIC.

Resilient by design

Each switch takes dual 1+1 redundant power supplies (C9K-PWR-650WAC-R, C9K-PWR-650WACL-R or C9K-PWR-930WDC-R) and a field-replaceable fan tray. Cisco backs the Catalyst 9500 Series with an Enhanced Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Network Essentials licensing

The -E model includes the Network Essentials licence. Cisco states an add-on licence must be ordered to purchase the switch, such as Cisco DNA Essentials (C9500-DNA-E-3Y, -5Y or -7Y); the DNA tier must correspond with the Network Essentials or Network Advantage licence.
