The TP-Link Archer AX10 is an AX1500 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router rated at 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with four fixed antennas and beamforming for coverage TP-Link sizes at three-bedroom houses. It has one gigabit WAN and four gigabit LAN ports, OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP and WireGuard VPN server and client, EasyMesh compatibility and Tether app management.

Archer AX10 overview

The Archer AX10 is TP-Link's AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 router. Its 5 GHz radio supports IEEE 802.11ax/ac/n/a with a top rate of 1201 Mbps (802.11ax), and its 2.4 GHz radio supports 802.11n/b/g at 300 Mbps (802.11n). TP-Link sizes its range for three-bedroom houses. Four fixed antennas form a signal-boosting array to cover more directions and larger areas, beamforming concentrates signal strength towards clients to extend range, and a high-power front-end module (FEM) improves transmission power to strengthen coverage. For capacity, OFDMA lets the router communicate with multiple Wi-Fi 6 clients at the same time, Airtime Fairness limits excessive occupation of the airtime by any one device, DFS gives access to an extra band to reduce congestion, and four streams connect your devices to more bandwidth.

For wired devices there is one gigabit WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports. WAN types include Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and L2TP, and the router needs a cable or DSL modem where your connection requires one. Besides Router Mode it can run in Access Point Mode. IPTV support covers IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge and tag VLAN, and both IPv4 and IPv6 are supported. The Archer AX10 is also compatible with EasyMesh, and QoS by device is supported.

The Archer AX10 runs OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP and WireGuard VPN servers, and it can also act as an OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP or WireGuard VPN client. Network security includes an SPI firewall, access control, IP and MAC binding and an application layer gateway. Wi-Fi encryption covers WPA, WPA2, WPA3 and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise (802.1x). Separate guest networks are available on 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, and parental controls provide URL filtering and time controls.

Setup and management are handled through the TP-Link Tether app or a web page, and cloud services add automatic and OTA firmware upgrades, TP-Link ID and TP-Link DDNS; NO-IP and DynDNS are also supported. The DHCP server includes a client list and address reservation, and NAT forwarding covers port forwarding, port triggering, DMZ and UPnP. The router runs from a 12 V 1 A supply, has a WPS/Wi-Fi button and a reset button, and measures 260.2 x 135.0 x 38.6 mm. It is rated for operation from 0 °C to 40 °C at 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity. In the box are the Archer AX10, a power adapter, an RJ45 Ethernet cable and a Quick Installation Guide. ARC IP Networks supplies the Archer AX10 from Australian stock with the full manufacturer's warranty.
