The Netgear XSM4348S in depth

48 independent 10G ports

The M4300-24X24F splits 48 independent 10G ports evenly between 10GBASE-T copper and SFP+ fibre, so servers, NAS and uplinks can use whichever media suits them. The 960 Gbps fabric keeps every port at line rate.

Core-class tables and redundancy

As one of the 48-port 10G M4300 platforms it has 128K MAC entries, a 56 Mb buffer and 12,288 IPv4 routes. A second power bay accepts another APS250W for redundant power.

Spine for an M4300 stack

Up to eight M4300 switches, 1G and 10G mixed, stack as one logical switch with non-stop forwarding, including spine-and-leaf topologies. Full Layer 3 routing is included with no licence.

Yes. It has two PSU bays and ships with one APS250W; a second APS250W runs in RPS (redundant) mode.

No. The datasheet lists PTPv2 transparent clock on all M4300 models except the 48-port 10G platforms (M4300-24X24F, M4300-48X and M4300-48XF).

Up to 8 M4300 switches in any combination, including 1G models; 10G models can use up to 16 ports per switch for stacking, over RJ45, SFP+ or DAC.
