The QNAP TS-264-8G in depth

2.5GbE speed, 10GbE ready

With port trunking across its two 2.5GbE ports, the TS-264 reached 589 MB/s read and write in QNAP's testing. Installing a dual-port 10GbE card such as the QXG-10G2TB in its PCIe Gen 3 x2 slot raised that to 1644 MB/s read and 1272 MB/s write in QNAP's testing.

M.2 caching, tiering and AI

Two M.2 PCIe Gen 3 slots take NVMe SSDs for cache acceleration, an SSD storage pool or Qtier auto-tiering, or a Coral Edge TPU for fast face and object recognition in QuMagie and QVR Face. A QM2-2P-344A card adds two more M.2 SSDs.

Media and PC-like use

Intel UHD Graphics speeds up converting videos to 1080p/720p for mobile streaming, and with a keyboard, mouse and HDMI monitor connected, Virtualization Station lets you use the TS-264 like a PC. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and One Touch Copy simplify USB backup.
