The TP-Link RackMount Kit-D226 is a metal rack mount kit for TP-Link 226 mm desktop switches and other products that have rackmount holes. TP-Link lists supported models including the SG2210XMP-M2 (v1.2+), TL-SX105, ER707-M2 (v1.2+), ER7206 (v2.2+), ER706W (v1.3+), ER706WP-4G (v1.2+), ER706W-4G (v2.2+), ER7212PC (v2+), DR3650v-4G and DR3650v. If you are unsure, TP-Link says to measure the mounting ears and hole spacing.

RackMount Kit-D226 overview

The RackMount Kit-D226 is TP-Link's rack mount kit for its 226 mm desktop switches. TP-Link describes it as compatible with TP-Link 226 mm desktop switches with rackmount holes and other products, and the D226 in the name refers to that 226 mm device width. It lets a desktop-format switch or gateway that has the matching mounting holes sit in a standard equipment rack instead of on a shelf. TP-Link states that reliable metal materials are selected, which are sturdy and durable, and that the installation is firm and not easy to fall. The material is listed simply as metal.

TP-Link publishes a list of products supported by the RackMount Kit-D226, grouped by category. Under managed switches it lists the SG2210XMP-M2 from hardware version 1.2. Under unmanaged switches it lists the TL-SX105. Under gateways it lists the ER707-M2 (v1.2+), ER7206 (v2.2+), ER706W (v1.3+), ER706WP-4G (v1.2+), ER706W-4G (v2.2+), ER7212PC (v2+), DR3650v-4G and DR3650v. The version numbers matter: TP-Link only lists several of these models from a stated hardware version onwards, because earlier versions of the same model may have a different chassis. The hardware version is printed on the device label.

TP-Link adds two practical notes. First, if you are not sure about the model of your switch, measure the size of the mounting ears and the hole spacing of the switch: the kit can be used if they match. Second, because there are many compatible models, pay attention to the size of the machine. In other words, compatibility depends on the device's width and hole positions rather than on the product line alone, so check the device against the list or measure it before ordering.

Note that TP-Link's datasheet for this kit (RackMount Kit-D226 1.20) prints its supported list under a RackMount Kit-13 heading, and that list (ER7212PC V2.0, ER7206 V2.20, ER707-M2 V1.20, DR3650v-4G V1.0, ER706WP-4G V1.0, ER7410PC-M2 V1.0, DR3650v V1.0) differs from the AU product page. This page follows the AU product page list; the ER7410PC-M2 appears only in the datasheet. For TP-Link 19-inch rack mount switches, the separate RackMount Kit-19 is the matching kit, so choose the kit that matches your device.
