The TP-Link M7350 is a 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi with a status screen, Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 GHz at up to 287 Mbps and a microSD slot for up to 2 TB of optional storage. TP-Link rates LTE at up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up, connects up to 10 devices and quotes up to 10 hours of use from a 2100 mAh battery, depending on the user environment.

M7350 overview

The M7350 is TP-Link's 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi with a built-in screen. TP-Link describes it as pocket-sized and easy to carry in most bags for adventures, business trips and daily commutes. What sets it apart from TP-Link's LED-only Mobile Wi-Fi units is the visualised screen: it shows traffic statistics, Wi-Fi status, user numbers, network type (4G or 3G), signal strength, connection status, messages, a battery meter and the Wi-Fi password, so you can track data use against your allowance at a glance. A menu button works alongside the power and reset buttons.

TP-Link rates its 4G LTE connection at 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, with the standard caveat that actual mobile broadband speeds vary with network configuration, signal strength and subscription terms. The M7350 page lists FDD-LTE B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20 and B28 (2100, 1800, 850, 2600, 900, 800 and 700 MHz) and TDD-LTE B38, B40 and B41 (2600, 2300 and 2500 MHz), with 3G HSPA+, HSPA and UMTS on B1, B5 and B8 (2100, 850 and 900 MHz). Match these bands against the network your SIM uses.

Wi-Fi is IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax (Wi-Fi 6) on 2.4 GHz, with TP-Link quoting stable 287 Mbps signal rates and up to 10 devices connected simultaneously. TP-Link notes that these are physical rates from the IEEE 802.11 standard and that throughput and the number of connected devices vary with network conditions, client limits and environment. Security includes WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3, wireless MAC filtering and SSID broadcast control, and a DHCP server keeps a client list. Transmission power is under 20 dBm.

The microSD card slot accepts cards of up to 2 TB, sold separately. TP-Link pitches this as a way to create shared photo albums while travelling or to manage work files on the move, and files can be accessed and shared through the tpMiFi app on iOS or Android. The same app sets data limits, controls which devices can join the Wi-Fi and sends messages. Battery life is quoted as up to 10 hours of use per charge from the 2100 mAh battery, with TP-Link noting that actual battery time varies with the user environment.

The M7350 weighs about 111 g with its battery and measures 106 x 66 x 16.7 mm. It has a USB-C port (5 V / 1 A external power), a nano SIM card slot, the microSD card slot and an internal antenna. TP-Link requires an activated SIM card without a PIN lock. The operating range is 0 to 35 °C and it carries CE certification. The box contains the 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi M7350, a USB-C cable, a quick installation guide and a 2100 mAh battery. TP-Link's Australian support page lists M7350 hardware versions V1 to V10; the figures on this page are those of the current product page, which describes the Wi-Fi 6 model.
