The TP-Link EAP775-Wall is an Omada BE9300 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 wall plate access point: up to 5765 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a 2.5G PoE uplink, one 2.5G and three gigabit downlink ports (two with PoE out on 802.3bt input), an anti-theft lock and a paintable cover in the box.

EAP775-Wall overview

The EAP775-Wall puts a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point and a small switch into a wall plate. TP-Link's AU page shows it giving a dedicated, private Wi-Fi network in each room, naming apartments, hospitality, dormitories, villas, meeting rooms and offices. It is a six-stream BE9300 design, about 9.3 Gbps in total: up to 5765 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are maximum physical signal rates from the IEEE 802.11 standard. TP-Link adds that 320 MHz channels exist only on 6 GHz, that 320 MHz (6 GHz) and 160 MHz (5 GHz) may be unavailable in some countries for regulatory reasons, and that real throughput and coverage will vary.

Wi-Fi 7 features listed are Multi-Link Operation, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs and 320 MHz bandwidth. TP-Link's page explains that 4K-QAM carries 12 bits per symbol against 10 bits for Wi-Fi 6, about 20% more data, and presents MLO as faster speed with lower latency. As TP-Link's footnote says, Wi-Fi 7, 320 MHz, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA and MU-MIMO all require clients that support the same feature. Listed capacity is 380+ concurrent clients, which TP-Link says is generally higher than real capacity, and coverage is about 100 m² (1050 ft²), a laboratory figure that is not guaranteed.

On the wired side the uplink is a 2.5G Ethernet port powered by 802.3at or 802.3bt PoE. Below the radio sit four downlink ports: one 2.5G and three gigabit. Two of the gigabit ports can supply PoE out, either as two PoE outputs or as one PoE+ output, for devices TP-Link shows such as IP phones and cameras, with a printer or IP TV on the other ports. PoE out only works when the access point is fed by 802.3bt. Maximum consumption is 43.35 W, which includes 25 W of PoE out, so size the upstream switch budget with that in mind.

Installation options shown by TP-Link are surface mounting with in-wall or on-wall cabling, a single-gang outlet box, and a dual-gang outlet box without blocking the neighbouring position. A paintable cover is included at no extra cost so the unit can be matched to the wall colour; TP-Link notes painted covers cannot be returned or repaired. A concealed anti-theft lock holds the device flush against the wall in public areas. The unit measures 172.9 x 91.2 x 41.3 mm, has six internal antennas (2x 5 dBi on 2.4 GHz, 2x 5.5 dBi on 5 GHz and 2x 5.5 dBi on 6 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2, and is rated for 0 to 40 °C operation.

As part of Omada SDN it can be managed by an Omada hardware controller, the software controller or the Omada Cloud-Based Controller (Omada Central, standard or Essentials), and through the Omada app, with web, SSH, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 and L3 management also listed. Omada Mesh, seamless roaming, captive portal and cloud access require an Omada SDN controller, and zero-touch provisioning requires the Cloud-Based Controller. Up to 24 SSIDs (eight per band), SMS login for guest access, WPA3 and rogue AP detection cover security.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the EAP775-Wall from the ARC IP Networks team.

Last reviewed October 2026.

BE9300 tri-band Wi-Fi 7: up to 5765 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are maximum physical rates, and 320 MHz on 6 GHz may be unavailable in some countries.

Yes. It is tri-band, with 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz radios and two internal 5.5 dBi antennas for 6 GHz. Clients need 6 GHz and Wi-Fi 7 support to use those features.

One 2.5G uplink port, plus downlinks of one 2.5G port and three gigabit ports.

Yes. Two of the gigabit downlinks offer PoE out, as two PoE outputs or one PoE+ output, but only when the EAP775-Wall is powered by 802.3bt.

802.3at or 802.3bt PoE on the uplink. Use 802.3bt if you need PoE out. Maximum consumption is 43.35 W including 25 W of PoE out.

On a single-gang or dual-gang outlet box, or surface-mounted with in-wall or on-wall cabling. Wall mounting kits are included.

An extra cover in the box that can be painted to match the wall. TP-Link states painted covers cannot be returned or repaired.

TP-Link lists 380+ concurrent clients and about 100 m² of coverage, noting real capacity is generally lower and coverage is not guaranteed.

Standalone web management is available, but Omada Mesh, seamless roaming, captive portal and cloud access require an Omada SDN controller, and zero-touch provisioning needs the Cloud-Based Controller.
