The TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro (2-pack) is an AXE5400 tri-band mesh Wi-Fi 6E system of two Deco XE75 Pro units, which TP-Link rates for coverage up to 500 m2 (5,500 sq ft) and 3-5 bedroom houses. Each unit has 2402 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, one 2.5 Gbps port and two gigabit ports, and a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU, plus HomeShield and VPN support.

Deco XE75 Pro (2-pack) overview

The Deco XE75 Pro (2-pack) is the configuration TP-Link leads with on the XE75 Pro page: its headline claims whole home Wi-Fi 6E coverage up to 500 m2, and its feature graphic labels that 5,500 sq ft/500 m2 figure as the 2-pack. In the spec table TP-Link rates the 2-pack for 3-5 bedroom houses. The box contains two Deco XE75 Pro units, one RJ45 Ethernet cable, two power adapters and a quick installation guide. TP-Link's summary of the model is AXE5400 tri-band speed up to 5,400 Mbps for up to 200 devices, a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU, AI-Driven Mesh, HomeShield security and 2.5 Gbps wired performance. TP-Link credits BSS Colouring and beamforming for clearer, stronger Wi-Fi that removes weak signal areas, and notes that real-world throughput and coverage depend on network conditions, clients and the building.

The 2.5 Gbps port is what separates the Pro from the standard Deco XE75. Each XE75 Pro unit has one 2.5 Gbps port and two gigabit ports, all with WAN/LAN auto-sensing, where the Deco XE75 has three gigabit ports. TP-Link says the 2.5 Gbps port and two gigabit ports let you take full advantage of your broadband speed, and suggests plugging in PCs, smart TVs or game consoles. Across the 2-pack that is two 2.5 Gbps ports and four gigabit ports. The wireless side is the same AXE5400 design as the XE75: 2402 Mbps on 6 GHz (802.11ax, HE160), 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz (802.11ax, HE160) and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with 2x2 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, six streams and four internal high-gain antennas. TP-Link positions the 6 GHz band and its 160 MHz channels for high-definition video, VR and lower-latency gaming.

Two units form one network with a single name and password. TP-Link says Deco units work together to move Wi-Fi around obstacles such as brick, cement, floors, ceilings and hallways, and that your phone or tablet automatically connects to the fastest Deco as you move; clients need 802.11k/v/r support and may need additional setup. Mesh features are true seamless roaming, adaptive path selection, band steering, AP steering, self-healing and optional Ethernet backhaul, and the AI-Driven Mesh uses self-learning algorithms to keep connections at their strongest. TP-Link states the XE75 Pro is compatible with every other Deco model, so a third unit or another Deco can be added later.

In the Deco app, setup is three steps (connect to a modem and power on, download the app, configure by following the in-app instructions), and the app shows every connected device, lets you prioritise your own and sets up guest networks on 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. Security is an SPI firewall, access control and HomeShield, with real-time IoT protection, a malicious site blocker, intrusion prevention, DDoS attack prevention and a home network scanner, and WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 Personal encryption. HomeShield includes a free Basic Plan with fees for the Pro Plan. Other listed features are OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP/IPSec VPN server and client, HomeShield QoS and QoS by device, IPTV, port forwarding, UPnP, TP-Link DDNS, OTA firmware upgrades, IPv4 and IPv6, and Alexa voice control. Each unit measures 105 x 105 x 169 mm and runs in router or access point mode.
