The TP-Link Deco BE68(3-pack) puts three Deco BE68 tri-band mesh units in one box, and TP-Link's coverage graphic gives three units up to 8,100 sq ft of whole home coverage. Every unit is rated BE14000 (8647 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz, 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) and carries a 10 Gbps, a 2.5 Gbps and a gigabit WAN/LAN port, USB 3.0, WireGuard VPN and HomeShield.

Deco BE68 (3-pack) overview

This is the largest Deco BE68 kit TP-Link Australia lists: three identical Deco BE68 units that join into one mesh network with a single Wi-Fi name. On the BE68 product page TP-Link shows coverage of up to 3,100 sq ft for one unit, up to 6,000 sq ft for two and up to 8,100 sq ft (roughly 750 square metres) for three, which makes the 3-pack the configuration aimed at large or multi-storey homes and long floor plans where a single router or a pair of nodes leaves weak spots. The box holds three Deco BE68 units, one RJ45 Ethernet cable, three power adapters and a quick installation guide, so one unit becomes the main Deco connected to your modem or NBN connection box and the other two are placed around the home as satellites.

Each of the three units is a BE14000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) radio system with eight streams and 3x3 MU-MIMO, listed at 8647 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, the source of TP-Link's headline of up to 14 Gbps. Eight internal high-gain antennas per unit form the signal-boosting array. The Wi-Fi 7 toolkit is Multi-Link Operation, 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM and Multi-RUs; TP-Link's footnotes say 320 MHz width exists only on the 6 GHz band, that these features need clients that support them, and that wider channels may not be permitted in every country. The quoted speeds are maximum signal rates derived from the IEEE 802.11 standard, and TP-Link says real throughput, coverage and device counts depend on your provider, building materials, obstacles, traffic and where clients sit. TP-Link also quotes connection of up to 200 devices, based on its laboratory testing.

With three nodes the backhaul between them matters more than in a smaller kit. TP-Link says the Deco BE68 can run a wireless and a wired backhaul to each unit at the same time, and that Wi-Fi 7 MLO lifts the combined wireless and wired backhaul aggregation rate, improving throughput and latency across the system. If you have Ethernet between rooms, the multi-gig ports make wired backhaul practical: every unit in this pack has one 10 Gbps, one 2.5 Gbps and one 1 Gbps port, all WAN/LAN auto-sensing, plus a USB 3.0 port for FTP, media and Samba server use. TP-Link positions the system for gigabit-plus and multi-gig internet plans up to 10 Gbps and notes those speeds need a compatible service plan and equipment, and that only one port acts as the WAN at a time. Each unit measures 107.5 x 107.5 x 176 mm.

Because all three units are managed as one network in the Deco app, settings apply across the whole home. HomeShield covers an SPI firewall, access control, real-time IoT protection, a malicious site blocker, intrusion prevention, DDoS attack prevention and a home network scanner; TP-Link says the Basic Plan is free and the Pro Plan is paid. VPN support is broader than on the BE65: OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec and WireGuard are all listed as both server and client. Guest networks run on 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz with effective time and bandwidth control, and an IoT network with device isolation keeps smart-home gear apart. Parental controls, QoS by device, IPTV (IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge, tag VLAN), port forwarding, UPnP, TP-Link DDNS, IPv6, Tapo/Kasa onboarding, reboot scheduling and voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant round out the software. The BE68 runs in Router Mode or Access Point Mode and, according to TP-Link, works with every other Deco model, so the 3-pack can still be extended later.

Last reviewed October 2026.

TP-Link's coverage graphic shows up to 8,100 sq ft (about 750 square metres) for three Deco BE68 units. TP-Link notes real coverage depends on building materials, obstacles and the environment.

Three Deco BE68 units, one RJ45 Ethernet cable, three power adapters and a quick installation guide.

Yes. The 3-pack contains three identical Deco BE68 units; any of them can be the main unit connected to your modem, and the others act as satellites.

It is optional. TP-Link says each unit can use a wired and a wireless backhaul at the same time, and with 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps ports on every unit, cabled backhaul can carry multi-gig traffic between rooms.

Each unit is BE14000: 8647 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are maximum signal rates from the IEEE standard, not guaranteed throughput.

One 10 Gbps, one 2.5 Gbps and one 1 Gbps Ethernet port, all WAN/LAN auto-sensing, plus one USB 3.0 port, a reset button and a WPS button.

Yes. OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec and WireGuard are listed as both VPN server and VPN client.

Yes. TP-Link states the Deco BE68 is compatible with every other Deco model for forming a mesh network.

Yes. Router Mode and Access Point Mode are both listed.
