The TP-Link SG3452P is an Omada 52-port Gigabit L2+ managed switch with 48 Gigabit RJ45 ports, all 802.3at/af PoE+ at up to 30 W each from a 384 W total budget, and four Gigabit SFP slots. It has 104 Gbps switching capacity, static routing with 48 routes, QinQ, ERPS and other ISP features, RJ45 and Micro-USB console ports, a 1U rackmount chassis with internal AC power and Omada SDN cloud management.

SG3452P overview

The SG3452P is TP-Link's Omada 52-port Gigabit L2+ managed switch with 48-port PoE+. TP-Link Australia lists hardware version V3.40, the latest of several versions (V1, V2, V3, V3.20, V3.30, V3.40). It has 48 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, every one an 802.3at/af PoE+ port with up to 30 W output, plus four Gigabit SFP slots for fibre uplinks, one RJ45 console port and one Micro-USB console port. The total PoE budget is 384 W. TP-Link notes that budget calculations are based on laboratory testing and actual budget is not guaranteed. With 48 PoE+ ports and 384 W, the switch can power all 48 ports at an average of 8 W each, or fewer ports at full 30 W, so plan the mix of cameras, phones and access points to suit. TP-Link also notes it works with non-PoE devices such as PCs and printers.

Performance is 104 Gbps switching capacity, a 77.38 Mpps forwarding rate, a 16K MAC address table, 12 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames. The 1U chassis measures 440 x 330 x 44 mm (17.3 x 13.0 x 1.7 in), weighs 5.74 kg according to the datasheet and is rack mountable with the included kit. It has three fans; the datasheet lists a fanless mode when PoE load is under 50 W at 25 degrees C and typical noise of 37.0 dBA at 1 m at 80 percent PoE load. Power is an internal 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply. Maximum power consumption is 464.2 W at 110 V (447.4 W at 220 V) with 384 W of powered devices connected, and standby consumption is 27.9 to 29.3 W. Surge protection is plus or minus 6 kV. Operating temperature is 0 to 40 degrees C on the TP-Link Australia product page.

L2+ features include 32 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces, 48 static routes, 128 static ARP entries and 316 ARP entries, proxy and gratuitous ARP, DHCP server, DHCP interface and VLAN relay and DHCP L2 relay. Layer 2 covers link aggregation, spanning tree, loopback detection, 802.3x flow control, mirroring and DLDP. Multicast supports 511 IPv4/IPv6 IGMP groups with IGMP snooping and authentication, MVR, MLD snooping and multicast filtering with 256 profiles. VLAN support includes 4K VLAN groups, 802.1Q, MAC VLAN with 48 entries, protocol VLAN, GVRP, voice VLAN and port-based and selective QinQ. ISP-oriented features are L2PT, DLDP, PPPoE ID insertion, ERPS and 802.3ah Ethernet Link OAM.

QoS offers 8 priority queues, 802.1p CoS and DSCP priority, SP, WRR and SP+WRR scheduling, port and flow-based rate limiting and 802.1p/DSCP remarking, so voice VLAN traffic from IP phones can be prioritised. Standalone management includes the web GUI, CLI through the console port or Telnet, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 with trap and inform, RMON groups 1, 2, 3 and 9, LLDP/LLDP-MED, DHCP AutoInstall, dual image and dual configuration, CPU monitoring, cable diagnostics, EEE, password recovery, SNTP and system log.

In an Omada network it is managed by an Omada hardware, software or cloud-based controller, giving cloud access, the Omada app, automatic device discovery, batch configuration and firmware upgrading, intelligent network monitoring, abnormal event warnings, unified configuration and reboot schedules. Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the Omada cloud-based controller. The SG3428MP is the 28-port sibling with 24 PoE+ ports, four SFP slots and the same 384 W budget; choose the SG3452P when one closet needs 48 PoE+ ports. In the box are the SG3452P switch, a power cord, a quick installation guide, a rackmount kit and rubber feet.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the SG3452P from the ARC IP Networks team.

Last reviewed October 2026.

All 48 Gigabit RJ45 ports are 802.3at/af PoE+ ports, with up to 30 W per port.

384 W. TP-Link notes this is based on laboratory testing and actual budget varies with client limitations and environmental factors.

No. 48 ports at 30 W would exceed the 384 W budget. The budget is shared, so the total drawn by all devices must stay within 384 W.

Four Gigabit SFP slots. It has no 10G SFP+ slots; for 10G uplinks with 48 PoE ports, TP-Link offers the SG3452XMPP.

It is an L2+ managed switch with static routing: 32 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces and 48 static routes, plus DHCP server and relay.

It has three fans. TP-Link lists a fanless mode when PoE load is under 50 W at 25 degrees C, and typical noise of 37.0 dBA at 1 m at 80 percent PoE load.

Not for basic use; it has web GUI, CLI and SNMP. Centralised cloud management needs an Omada hardware, software or cloud-based controller, and Zero-Touch Provisioning needs the cloud-based controller.

TP-Link Australia's product page shows V3.40.

By an internal 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply. A power cord is included.

The SG3452P switch, a power cord, a quick installation guide, a rackmount kit and rubber feet.
