https://arcip.com.au/web/image/product.template/8133/image_1920?unique=73ac110

The TP-Link OJB-100 is an Omada wall plate access point junction box that lets compatible Omada and Festa wall plate APs be installed directly on bare walls. TP-Link lists the EAP725-Wall V1.0, EAP655-Wall V1.0 and EAP615-Wall V1.0 as compatible models; for the EAP725-Wall and EAP655-Wall a special network cable, such as a short-end or L-shaped cable, is needed when installing on bare walls. It suits sites with no reserved junction box, a box that does not fit the AP, or no network cable pre-installed in the wall. It measures 143 × 86 × 55 mm and comes with a mounting kit. Supplied by ARC IP Networks from Australian stock with the full manufacturer's warranty.

The TP-Link OJB-100 is an Omada junction box that lets compatible wall plate access points be installed directly on bare walls. TP-Link lists the EAP725-Wall V1.0, EAP655-Wall V1.0 and EAP615-Wall V1.0 as compatible, and names three situations for it: no junction box reserved, a box size that does not fit the wall plate AP, or no network cable pre-buried in the wall.

OJB-100 overview

The OJB-100 is TP-Link's Wall Plate Access Point Junction Box. TP-Link describes it as the solution for installing Omada and Festa wall plate APs directly onto bare walls. TP-Link's datasheet says it enables compatible wall plate APs to be installed directly on bare walls, bringing lower pre-deployment costs and complexity. The compatible APs listed in the datasheet are the EAP725-Wall V1.0, the EAP655-Wall V1.0 and the EAP615-Wall V1.0, so check the model and hardware version of your wall plate AP against that list before ordering.

TP-Link names three situations where the OJB-100 is the right fit. The first is where no junction box has been reserved in the wall for the access point. The second is where a junction box exists but its size does not fit TP-Link's wall plate access points. The third is where no network cable has been pre-buried, or pre-installed, in the wall. In each of these situations the OJB-100 allows a compatible wall plate access point to be installed directly on the bare wall, which is the purpose TP-Link gives for the product, and its datasheet sums this up as ideal for installations without a reserved junction box, with incompatible box sizes, or where network cables are not pre-installed in the wall.

There is one installation point TP-Link calls out specifically. For the EAP725-Wall V1.0 and EAP655-Wall V1.0, installing with the OJB-100 on a bare wall requires a special network cable, such as a short-end network cable, an L-shaped network cable or others. TP-Link refers installers to the Install Guide for the details. If you are deploying either of those two models with the OJB-100, plan the cable type as part of the job. The datasheet lists the EAP615-Wall V1.0 as compatible without that note.

The OJB-100 is made of plastics in an Apple White finish. It measures 143 x 86 x 55 mm and weighs 126.6 g. The product page lists the package contents as the junction box, a mounting kit and an installation guide; the datasheet lists the OJB-100, mounting screws and an installation guide. The OJB-100 is a junction box only, and it is used with one of the compatible wall plate access points TP-Link lists: the EAP725-Wall V1.0, EAP655-Wall V1.0 or EAP615-Wall V1.0. ARC IP Networks supplies the OJB-100 from Australian stock with the full manufacturer's warranty.

Last reviewed October 2026.

A junction box that lets compatible Omada and Festa wall plate access points be installed directly onto bare walls.

TP-Link lists the EAP725-Wall V1.0, EAP655-Wall V1.0 and EAP615-Wall V1.0 as compatible.

Where no junction box is reserved, where the existing box size does not fit the wall plate access point, or where no network cable is pre-buried in the wall.

For the EAP725-Wall V1.0 and EAP655-Wall V1.0, yes. TP-Link states a special network cable (short-end, L-shaped or others) is required when installing on bare walls, and refers to the Install Guide for details.

143 x 86 x 55 mm, and it weighs 126.6 g.

Apple White, made of plastics.

TP-Link describes the OJB-100 as a solution for installing Omada and Festa wall plate APs on bare walls. The specific compatible models it lists are the EAP725-Wall V1.0, EAP655-Wall V1.0 and EAP615-Wall V1.0.

TP-Link says the OJB-100 brings lower pre-deployment costs and complexity, because compatible wall plate APs can be installed directly on bare walls.

No. It is a junction box only; the wall plate access point is purchased separately.

The product page lists the junction box, a mounting kit and an installation guide; the datasheet lists the OJB-100, mounting screws and an installation guide.
