The Mercusys MR37BE is a BE6500 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router. Its 5 GHz band reaches 5760 Mbps and its 2.4 GHz band 688 Mbps, with Multi-Link Operation, 4K-QAM and 160 MHz channels. Six external antennas, a 2.5 Gbps WAN port, a 2.5 Gbps LAN port and two gigabit LAN ports complete the design.

MR37BE overview

The MR37BE puts most of its capacity on 5 GHz. Mercusys rates it BE6500, made up of 5760 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, which it calls "Dual Band, Dual Speed". The 5 GHz rate is double the 2880 Mbps of Mercusys's BE3600 routers. As with every Mercusys speed figure, these are physical signal rates from IEEE 802.11, and actual throughput, coverage and device numbers depend on the provider, network conditions, clients and building materials.

Wi-Fi 7 capabilities are Multi-Link Operation, Multi-RUs, 4K-QAM and 160 MHz channels, together with OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS Colour and beamforming. Mercusys explains that 4K-QAM packs 12 bits into each symbol rather than 10, and that Multi-Link Operation lets devices transmit across bands simultaneously. Clients need matching support to benefit, 160 MHz on 5 GHz may be restricted in some countries, and the router may not include every mandatory 802.11be feature without later software updates.

Six external omnidirectional antennas, four for 5 GHz and two for 2.4 GHz, work with beamforming and Mercusys's Wi-Fi optimisation to push signal through walls. The wired ports are a 2.5 Gbps WAN, a 2.5 Gbps LAN and two 1 Gbps LAN ports; 2.5 Gbps internet speeds require a compatible plan and equipment. The router supports EasyMesh, so it can create one network name and password across other EasyMesh access points. Be aware of Mercusys's caveats: EasyMesh pairing between brands is not assured, support is still being completed on some models, and no Wi-Fi EasyMesh certification has been obtained.

In software, the MR37BE offers a guest network, an IoT network, Smart Connect, a wireless schedule, WPS, AP isolation and airtime fairness, with WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 security (WPA3 needs client support). It runs in Router or AP mode and includes IPTV options (IGMP Proxy and Snooping, Bridge/Custom, Tag VLAN), a VPN client for OpenVPN, WireGuard, PPTP and L2TP/IPSec, QoS with time settings and priority control, parental controls with profiles, time limits, pause and website filtering, DDNS, port forwarding, IPv6, an SPI firewall, access control and IP and MAC binding, plus CWMP and ISP preset tools.

The Mercusys app on iOS or Android sets the router up in a few guided steps and manages it from home or away; a browser interface and Mercusys ID cloud login are also listed. The MR37BE measures 258 x 119 x 43.3 mm, weighs 600 g, sits on a desk or mounts on a wall, uses a 12 V / 2 A supply and has one system LED with WPS and reset buttons. Mercusys's AU listing for this model is the 1-pack page, matching the single router we supply.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the MR37BE from the ARC IP Networks team.

Last reviewed October 2026.

BE6500: 5760 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are maximum signal rates; real throughput is lower and varies.

No. It is dual band (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz). The tri-band MR47BE adds 6 GHz.

The MR37BE doubles the 5 GHz rate to 5760 Mbps and has six antennas instead of four, but one fewer gigabit LAN port.

One 2.5 Gbps WAN, one 2.5 Gbps LAN and two 1 Gbps LAN ports.

This listing is a single MR37BE router, matching Mercusys's 1-pack page.

No. It works with older Wi-Fi devices; MLO, 4K-QAM and Multi-RUs require compatible clients.

It is EasyMesh-compatible. Mixed-vendor connections can fail on firmware conflicts, and it is not Wi-Fi EasyMesh certified.

One MR37BE router plus its power adapter, an RJ45 cable and the Quick Installation Guide.
