The Cisco Meraki in depth

715W supply for the MS390

The MA-PWR-715WAC plugs into either of the two hot-swappable power supply bays on a Meraki MS390. It is the default power supply in the MS390-24P and MS390-48P, and an upgrade option for the data-only models. Meraki publishes the PoE budget for every primary and secondary PSU combination, so the second supply can be sized to the PoE load.

Redundancy and PoE

Adding a second supply gives the switch power redundancy and, on PoE, UPoE and mGig models, a larger PoE budget. Some combinations are capped by port density and per-port PoE capacity rather than by the supplies.
