Best for

  • Renewing licensing for an installed MS350-48LP
  • Extending a Meraki co-term organisation
  • Keeping cloud-managed switches in licence compliance

Key features

Meraki Enterprise licence and support for one MS350-48LP switch, 1 year term.

MS licences are sold per switch model, and PoE and non-PoE versions of a model need different licences.

Classic MS licences are non-transferable between switch models.

MS co-term licences come in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 year terms.

The Advanced tier is only available for MS130, MS150, MS390, C9300-M and C9200L-M, so the MS350 uses Enterprise licensing.

In co-term organisations every licence shares one expiry date, averaged across the licensed device count.

Co-term licences start consuming time from the date they are processed, not when added to an organisation.

Exceeding the licence limit or expiry starts a 30-day grace period before the organisation is shut down.

The Cisco LIC-MS350-48LP-1YR in depth

What this licence does

The LIC-MS350-48LP-1YR licenses one MS350-48LP switch on the Meraki Enterprise tier for 1 year. Meraki MS licences are per model, so the MS350-48LP cannot use a licence for another model, and every Meraki device needs a valid licence to operate in the dashboard.

One MS350-48LP switch. MS licences are per model and non-transferable, so a different model (including the PoE or non-PoE version) needs its own licence.

The MS350-48LP is a layer 3 stackable cloud-managed switch (48x GigE, 370W PoE); the MS350-48LP reached end-of-sale on 30 May 2025 and is supported until 8 August 2030. Cisco Meraki names the C9300-48P-M as its replacement.

No. Cisco Meraki offers the Advanced tier only for MS130, MS150, MS390, C9300-M and C9200L-M, so the MS350 uses Enterprise licensing.

In the co-termination model every licence claimed to an organisation shares one expiry date, calculated by averaging all active licences over the licensed device count, and time is counted from the date the licence is processed.

The organisation enters a 30-day grace period; if it is not brought back into compliance it is shut down. Network clients see no difference during the grace period.
