HiLook Panoramic Camera FAQ — IPC-T289PH-MU-SL-BLK

How does the IPC-T289PH-MU-SL-BLK achieve 180° coverage?

It uses two 2 mm lenses whose images are stitched into a single seamless 8 MP panorama. One camera covers a full 180° scene — ideal for building frontages, car parks and long walls — while using just one NVR channel.

What is Smart Hybrid Light on this HiLook camera?

Smart Hybrid Light combines infrared and white supplement light. The camera switches automatically between discreet IR for low-profile night monitoring and white light for full-colour images and deterrence, with infrared reaching up to 30 m.

Does the IPC-T289PH-MU-SL-BLK record audio?

Yes, it has a built-in microphone for two-way audio and audible alerts. Check local laws before enabling audio recording in your jurisdiction.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. It has an IP67-rated metal weatherproof housing for dust and water resistance, so it can be mounted outdoors without an additional enclosure. It carries a 3-year Australian warranty supported locally by ARC IP Networks.

How is the camera powered and recorded?

It runs on standard PoE (802.3af) over a single cable, or 12 VDC. It records to a HiLook NVR or to a local microSD card, using efficient H.265+ compression to reduce bandwidth and storage.

Professional Overview

The HiLook IPC-T289PH-MU-SL-BLK is an 8 MP panoramic turret camera that uses two stitched 2 mm lenses to deliver a single seamless 180° image. It is designed to replace a pair of conventional cameras across wide scenes such as building frontages, car parks, courtyards and long perimeters — covering the whole view on one NVR channel and one licence.

Smart Hybrid Light pairs infrared (up to 30 m) with white supplement light, so the camera moves automatically between discreet night monitoring and full-colour deterrence as conditions change. A built-in microphone adds two-way audio for live talk-back and audible alerts.

Efficient H.265+ compression keeps bandwidth and storage low across the high-resolution panorama, while the microSD slot supports edge recording alongside a HiLook NVR. Single-cable PoE makes installation quick and tidy.

The IP67-rated metal housing withstands Australian dust, sun and rain for unsheltered outdoor mounting. Backed by a 3-year warranty. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
