Figures from Cisco's official data sheet.

The Cisco FPR2K-NM-8X10G in depth

Expanding the 2130 and 2140

The Firepower 2130 and 2140 have one network module slot. The FPR2K-NM-8X10G adds eight SFP+ ports, taking the appliance to the 24-port maximum alongside its 12 RJ-45 and four SFP+ fixed ports.

Installing and replacing

The slot is not hot-swappable. Cisco says to disable the module before removing it; a same-PID replacement just needs re-enabling, while a different PID needs a chassis reboot.
