The Cisco CW9172I-RTG in depth

Entry Wi-Fi 7 for distributed sites

The Cisco Wireless 9172I targets environments such as healthcare clinics, retail stores and regional branches. Its flexible radio runs either tri-band 2x2 including 6 GHz, or a high-density dual-band mode with 4x4 on 5 GHz when 6 GHz is disabled.

Ready to go ordering

-RTG is Cisco's Ready to go device category for Wi-Fi 7 access points, the fastest shipment with default choices. Wi-Fi 7 APs are global use, so no regulatory domain or management-mode part number is needed.

Fits existing PoE+

Meraki lists a maximum power requirement of 25.5W on 802.3at, so the 9172I runs from standard PoE+ switch ports; a 54V DC jack is available for the MA-PWR-50WAC adapter.
