The Cisco CS-BAR-L-UK9 in depth

BYOD made simple

The Room Bar BYOD brings the Room Bar's camera, speakers and microphones to small spaces without a dedicated room system. Plug the screen into HDMI and the laptop into USB-C, and the laptop runs the meeting in whatever app it uses.

Manage it, then upgrade it

Registering the bar to Webex Control Hub gives IT software management, centralised configuration and room utilisation insight. Cisco notes that connecting a Room Navigator upgrades it to the full Room Bar experience, with laptop-free meetings, room booking and building controls.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the Cisco CS-BAR-L-UK9 from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.

No. Cisco states the Room Bar BYOD does not include a Room Navigator by default. Meetings are hosted from a laptop connected over USB-C.

Cisco describes it as a BYOD-only solution that works with any meeting, because the connected laptop hosts the call and uses the bar's camera, microphones and speakers.

Yes. Cisco says you can upgrade to the full Room Bar experience by connecting a Room Navigator, enabling laptop-free meetings directly on the device.

Not for USB-C meetings. Webex Control Hub registration, Miracast sharing and Webex app pairing require a network connection.

Cisco states the Room Bar has a 1-year limited liability warranty.
