Figures from Cisco's official data sheet.

The Cisco C1111-4P in depth

Compact dual-WAN branch router

The C1111-4P is part of the Cisco ISR 1100 range of fixed branch routers. It combines 4 Gigabit LAN ports with two Gigabit WAN ports, one of which is a copper/SFP combo for fibre services, in a compact desktop chassis powered by an external universal AC adapter.

Autonomous or SD-WAN

A single Cisco IOS XE Universal image runs either as a traditional router or as a Cisco SD-WAN edge. IP Base is the default licence, and Application Experience, Unified Communications, Security and HSEC licences unlock features such as MPLS, CUBE, zone-based firewall, DMVPN and full-rate encryption.

Lifecycle status

Cisco has announced the end-of-sale of the ISR 1111 Series: the last order date was July 28, 2026 and the last ship date October 27, 2026. Software maintenance releases continue until July 28, 2027 and security fixes until July 27, 2029, and Cisco names the C1121-4P as the migration product.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the Cisco C1111-4P from the ARC IP Networks team. Last reviewed October 2026.

Yes. Cisco's end-of-life notice lists July 28, 2026 as the end-of-sale date and October 27, 2026 as the last ship date. Security support continues to July 27, 2029, and the recommended migration product is the C1121-4P.

It has two Gigabit WAN ports: one copper/SFP combo port and one copper Ethernet port, alongside 4 Gigabit LAN ports.

Cisco lists up to 1600 Mbps IPv4 forwarding and up to 500 Mbps IPsec throughput in autonomous mode, and up to 450 Mbps IPsec in SD-WAN mode, all at 512-byte packets.

IP Base is included by default. Security features such as IPsec VPN and DMVPN need the SL-1100-4P-SEC licence (up to 50 Mbps IPsec), with FL-VPERF-4P-100 or FL-1100-4P-HSEC licences to raise encrypted throughput. SD-WAN uses Cisco DNA subscriptions.

Only with the optional PoE upgrade: 2 PoE or 1 PoE+ on the 4 LAN ports, which requires the 115W power supply.
