The Cisco AIR-ANT2524DW-RS= in depth

Dual-band dipole for Cisco access points

This white dipole covers both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands from one RP-TNC connector, so a single antenna serves each dual-band port. Cisco lists it for Aironet 1830, 1850, 2800 and 3800 Series and Catalyst 9115AX, 9120AX and 9130AX access points.

Articulating base

The base rotates 360 degrees at the connection point and tilts from 0 to 90 degrees at the joint, so the antenna can be set vertical whether the access point is on a ceiling or a wall.

Self-identifying antenna

The -RS model contains self-identifying circuitry so a supported access point can detect the antenna automatically. Cisco states self-identifying antennas are supported from IOS XE 17.5.1 on Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers.
