What is an active deterrence security camera?
An active deterrence security camera uses light and sound to respond when its AI detects a person or vehicle, rather than only recording. A bright LED spotlight can flash, pulse or stay on, and a customisable audio alarm can play your own uploaded sounds or voice messages. The deterrence features can be scheduled, for example armed overnight and silent during business hours.
Don't Just Record Crime. Stop It In Its Tracks.
For years, security cameras have been passive observers. They record footage that’s useful after a break-in has already happened. But what if your camera could do more? What if it could actively intervene and stop an intruder before they even reach your door?
That’s the power of active deterrence, and it’s a "true security game-changer". It’s time to move from simply recording crime to actively preventing it.
What is Active Deterrence?
An active deterrence security camera doesn't just watch. When its onboard AI detects a person or vehicle in a monitored area, it "springs into action". The Jovision JVS-N837-UDL uses a powerful combination of light and sound to let potential intruders know, in no uncertain terms, that they’ve been spotted.
A Two-Pronged Approach to Prevention
- Bright LED Spotlight: The moment an intruder is detected, the camera's powerful LED spotlight can be set to flash, pulse, or stay on like a torch. This immediately illuminates the person, draws attention to their presence, and lets them know they are being watched. For most opportunistic crooks, a sudden spotlight is enough to send them running.
- Customisable Audio Alarm: This is where you take control. Forget a generic, easily ignored siren. You can upload your own audio files to the camera. Imagine the effect of a loud dog barking sound, a pre-recorded warning, or even your own voice telling them they’re on camera. It's a truly personal deterrent that stops intruders before they act.
Security That Works Around You
This powerful feature doesn't have to be a nuisance. You have "Total Control". You can easily schedule when the active deterrence features are armed. Have it on full alert overnight, then automatically switch to silent recording during the day when you have visitors or staff on-site. It’s security that works around your life or business hours.
This isn't just a camera; it's your "On-Site Security Guard".
