The Yealink AX86R is a ruggedized Wi-Fi 6 SIP handset for hospitals, warehouses, retail and manufacturing: IP67 waterproof and dust-proof, drop-proof to 1.8 m, with seamless 802.11k/v/r roaming, HD voice with AI Noise Cancellation, 4 SIP accounts and a red emergency button with automatic alarms.

ARC IP Networks supplies the genuine Yealink AX86R in Australia with manufacturer's warranty and GST invoice.

Yealink AX86R overview

The AX86R registers directly to your SIP platform over the existing Wi-Fi network, so staff who walk the floor get a desk-phone-quality extension without DECT infrastructure. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 gives more capacity in dense environments such as hospitals, schools and supermarkets, and 802.11k/v/r roaming hands calls between access points without drops. WPA3 Enterprise suits organisations with strict security requirements.

The handset is built for hard use: IP67 against water and dust, 1.8 m drop protection, a textured non-slip, anti-scratch body that resists cleaning chemicals and is antibacterial for hygiene. The 2.4-inch colour display stays readable with gloves and in bright light.

Safety features include a red emergency button, no-movement, man-down and running alarms, and push-to-talk for instant team communication. A 3100 mAh battery gives up to 13 hours of talk time or 300 hours of standby, with quick charging through the cradle or a USB Type-C cable. The AX86R also supports Microsoft Teams via the Microsoft SIP Gateway.

Who it suits and compatibility

The AX86R suits sites that already run enterprise Wi-Fi and want mobile extensions without a DECT system: hospitals and aged care, warehouses and logistics, retail floors, schools and manufacturing. It works with SIP PBXs such as 3CX, Asterisk/FreePBX and hosted platforms, and with Microsoft Teams through the SIP Gateway. For sites without reliable Wi-Fi coverage, consider the Yealink W79P Pro DECT system instead.
