Yealink W90B — Cordless DECT IP Multi-Cell System (W90B base + W90DM manager)

Enterprise DECT IP Multi-Cell System for Large-Scale Cordless Telephony

The Yealink W90 DECT IP Multi-Cell System — consisting of W90B base station and W90DM DECT Manager — is designed for organisations requiring extensive wireless coverage with the full ease of large-scale deployment. The system supports up to 250 handsets, 250 simultaneous calls, and 60 base stations, scaling from medium offices to enterprise warehouses, hospitals, hotels, supermarket chains, cruise ships, and dealership networks.

The W90B introduces rotatable external antennas for further signal range and flexible steering across complex deployment areas, plus LAN Synchronization that maintains stable roaming even in poor-signal or high-interference environments (warehouses with overcrowded racks, multiple iron gates). Compatible handsets: Yealink W53H, W56H, W59R, CP930W cordless conference phone, and DD Phone — matching different employee roles from desk to mobile to conference with full scalability.

Easy deployment is built in: the DECT Deployment Toolkit identifies optimal base placement, the IP Discovery tool simplifies DM IP retrieval, and Auto Sync Level enables a self-organising network without manual base ordering. Going from initial deployment to daily management takes substantially less time than traditional multi-cell systems.

Enterprise DECT Multi-Cell FAQ — W90B

What is the W90B?

The Yealink W90B is the base station component of the W90 DECT IP Multi-Cell System. Together with the W90DM DECT Manager, it scales to 250 handsets, 250 simultaneous calls, and 60 base stations — tailored for enterprise deployments such as warehouses, hospitals, hotels, supermarket chains, cruise ships, and large dealership networks.

How is the W90B different from W70B and W80B?

W70B is single-cell (10 handsets, 20 calls). W80B is multi-cell with 30 base stations and 100 handsets/calls. W90B doubles down to 60 base stations and 250 handsets/calls per system, plus rotatable external antennas and LAN synchronisation for the most challenging RF environments. Choose W90B for enterprise scale.

Do I need both W90B and W90DM?

Yes. The W90 system is two distinct hardware roles — W90B as base station and W90DM as DECT Manager (system controller). One W90DM manages up to 60 W90B bases. Order the W90DM and the appropriate quantity of W90B units for your coverage plan.

What is LAN Synchronisation?

LAN Sync uses the wired Ethernet network to synchronise W90B base stations as a fallback or supplement to over-the-air DECT sync. Critical for environments with poor RF signal transmission or strong interference (warehouses with metal racks, multiple iron gates) where Air Sync alone would degrade roaming stability.

Which handsets work with the W90B?

Yealink W53H, W56H, W59R DECT handsets, plus the CP930W cordless DECT conference phone, and DD Phone (T54W + DD10K dongle) configurations. Mix and match across base stations within the multi-cell system to match employee roles — rugged W59R for warehouse staff, sleek W56H for office, CP930W for meeting rooms.

How is the W90 system deployed?

Use the Yealink DECT Deployment Toolkit for site survey and base location, IP Discovery for retrieving the W90DM IP, and Auto Sync Level for self-organising network startup. Auto-provisioning over TFTP / FTP / HTTP / HTTPS / RPS / PnP. The W90DM web portal provides centralised configuration, firmware management, monitoring, and OTA handset upgrades for the entire system.

What warranty does the W90B include?

Yealink standard manufacturer warranty applies. ARC IP Networks handles warranty claims locally in Australia.

Professional Overview

The Yealink W90 DECT IP Multi-Cell System is engineered for the largest cordless deployments where W70B (single-cell) and W80B (mid-range multi-cell) hit capacity ceilings. Built around two roles — W90B base station and W90DM DECT Manager — the system scales to 250 handsets, 250 simultaneous calls, and 60 base stations under a single DECT manager. Tailored for warehouses, hospitals, hotels, supermarket chains, cruise ships, and large dealership networks.

Capacity figures — up to 250 handsets, 250 simultaneous calls, 250 SIP accounts, 60 base stations — are documented in the Specifications table above. Per-base capacity is up to 8 wideband (4 active handsets) or 8 narrowband calls; each handset holds up to 2 calls simultaneously. Wireless coverage extends 30–50 m indoors (ideal: 50 m) and up to 300 m outdoors per base, with rotatable external antennas providing extended range and steering flexibility for complex layouts.

Audio quality is delivered through G.722 and AMR-WB wideband codecs (plus AMR-NB and full narrowband fallbacks). Security covers TLS 1.0/1.1/1.2, SRTP, HTTPS, OpenVPN, AES configuration encryption, SHA-256/384/512 hashing, and LDAP(s) for directory authentication. Management consolidates into the W90DM web portal — centralised provisioning via Yealink’s Redirection and Provisioning Service (RPS), Auto-P, OTA handset firmware upgrades, IPUI registration, and user access levels for delegated admin. The DECT Deployment Toolkit, IP Discovery utility, and Auto Sync Level dramatically reduce site-survey and turn-up time on enterprise rollouts.

The W90B is genuine Australian-stocked product through ARC IP Networks. Local warranty handling, pre-sales consultation on multi-cell DECT design, RF site surveys, base station placement, antenna pattern selection, and handset / repeater pack pricing are included. Bulk-deployment quotes available on request.
