Great stories have a personality. Consider telling a great story that provides personality. Writing a story with personality for potential clients will assist with making a relationship connection. This shows up in small quirks like word choices or phrases. Write from your point of view, not from someone else's experience.

Great stories are for everyone even when only written for just one person. If you try to write with a wide, general audience in mind, your story will sound fake and lack emotion. No one will be interested. Write for one person. If it’s genuine for the one, it’s genuine for the rest.

Yealink DECT Handset FAQ — W78H

What is the W78H?

The Yealink W78H is a Yealink DECT cordless handset for use with a Yealink W70B / W80B / W90B DECT IP base station (or compatible Yealink DECT manager). It registers wirelessly to the base station and operates as a SIP endpoint over the DECT system.

Does the W78H include a base station?

No. The W78H is a handset only. To deploy it you need a compatible Yealink DECT base station: W70B (single-cell, up to 10 handsets), W80B (multi-cell, up to 100 handsets), or W90B (enterprise multi-cell, up to 250 handsets). For starter packs that include a base + handset, see the Yealink W73P, W76P, W77P, W78P, or W79P bundle SKUs.

How many handsets can connect to one base?

Up to 10 handsets per W70B base, 100 per W80B multi-cell system, 250 per W90B enterprise system. Mix and match handset types on the same base — sleek W56H/W76H for office, rugged W57R/W59R for warehouse and industrial use.

How is the W78H charged?

A charger cradle is included in the box. Yealink DECT handset batteries typically deliver up to 30 hours talk time and 400 hours standby on a full charge. Lithium-ion batteries are user-replaceable with the genuine Yealink replacement pack.

What range does the W78H have from the base?

Up to 50 m indoors and 300 m outdoors (line of sight) per Yealink DECT base. Range varies with building materials, RF interference, and base station antenna type. The W90 series with rotatable external antennas extends practical coverage further.

Is the W78H ruggedised?

Yealink offers two ruggedised DECT handsets: the W57R (general rugged for warehouse / retail) and W59R / W59R Pro (industrial-grade with IP67 protection, drop-tested, accelerometer for man-down alerts). Standard handsets (W56H, W73H, W76H, W78H) are office-grade.

What warranty does the W78H include?

Yealink standard manufacturer warranty applies. ARC IP Networks handles warranty claims locally in Australia.

Professional Overview

The Yealink W78H is a Yealink DECT cordless handset designed for use with a Yealink W70B / W80B / W90B DECT IP base station (or compatible Yealink DECT manager). It pairs wirelessly to the base via Yealink’s CAT-iq 2.0 DECT radio and operates as a SIP endpoint over the system, supporting HD voice, full-duplex speakerphone, and Yealink Acoustic Shield noise reduction.

Talk-time, standby battery life, codec support, display dimensions, and ruggedness ratings are documented in the Specifications table on this page. Yealink DECT handset batteries typically deliver up to 30 hours talk-time and 400 hours of standby on a full charge; user-replaceable lithium-ion battery packs are available from ARC IP Networks.

Security covers DECT-air encryption (over the wireless link) and SIP-side TLS / SRTP / HTTPS / AES configuration encryption (between base and PBX). Auto-provisioning via TFTP / FTP / HTTP / HTTPS / RPS / PnP. No-Perception Upgrade performs handset firmware updates over-the-air without dropping calls.

The W78H is genuine Australian-stocked product through ARC IP Networks. Local warranty handling, pre-sales consultation on DECT site survey, base-station pairing, handset selection by user role (sleek W56H/W76H for office, rugged W57R/W59R for warehouse), and battery / charger / clip accessory pricing are included.
