Yealink W70B — DECT IP Base Station (W73H / W78H / W56H / W59R / W57R / CP930W / CP935W compatible)

High-Performance DECT IP Base Station for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

The Yealink W70B is the DECT IP base station designed for small and medium-sized businesses needing reliable cordless coverage across an office, warehouse, or retail floor. The W70B supports up to 10 simultaneously registered DECT handsets / DECT headsets and handles up to 20 simultaneous voice calls per base, making it the right anchor for a busy workgroup that has outgrown its single-handset DECT base.

Compatible with the full Yealink DECT range — W73H, W78H, W53H, W56H, W57R, W59R, plus the CP930W and CP935W conference phones — the W70B lets you mix-and-match endpoint types to match users without changing the base infrastructure. Ten SIP accounts are supported simultaneously, allowing each handset to register against a separate extension if required.

The W70B integrates with Yealink’s Device Management Platform (YDMP) and Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS), enabling centralised provisioning, firmware management, and monitoring across single sites or distributed deployments. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af, Class 1) is supported, with an external 5V AC adapter included in the box for sites without PoE switches. No-Perception Upgrade performs handset firmware upgrades over-the-air without dropping calls or disrupting users.

DECT Base Station FAQ — W70B

What is the W70B?

The Yealink W70B is a high-performance DECT IP base station for small and medium-sized businesses. It supports up to 10 cordless handsets and 20 simultaneous voice calls per base, anchoring a Yealink cordless phone system for offices, warehouses, retail floors, and hospitality venues.

How many handsets does the W70B support?

Up to 10 simultaneously registered DECT handsets or DECT headsets per W70B base, plus up to 10 SIP accounts. Maximum 20 concurrent voice calls per base.

Which handsets are compatible with the W70B?

W73H, W78H, W53H, W56H, W57R, W59R DECT handsets, plus CP930W and CP935W cordless conference phones, and T54W + DD10K colour-screen handset combinations. Mix and match handset types on the same base.

Does the W70B need a separate power supply?

PoE IEEE 802.3af (Class 1) is supported — single-cable deployment from a PoE switch. An external 100–240 V AC → 5 V / 600 mA DC adapter is also included in the box for sites without PoE infrastructure.

How is the W70B managed?

Standalone via web GUI, on-premise central management via Yealink Device Management Platform (YDMP), or cloud-managed via Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS). Auto-provisioning supported over TFTP / FTP / HTTP / HTTPS / RPS / PnP. No-Perception Upgrade pushes handset firmware over-the-air without dropping calls.

Does the W70B support multi-cell roaming?

The W70B is a single-cell base station — it covers a single DECT zone. For multi-cell coverage with seamless roaming across multiple bases, use the W80B or W90B multi-cell systems. RT30 repeaters (up to 6 per W70B) extend coverage without adding multi-cell overhead.

What warranty does the W70B include?

Yealink standard manufacturer warranty applies. ARC IP Networks handles warranty claims locally in Australia.

Professional Overview

The Yealink W70B is a high-performance DECT IP base station engineered for small and medium-sized businesses replacing wired desk phones with cordless mobility. Pairing with up to 10 Yealink DECT handsets — W73H/W78H/W53H/W56H/W57R/W59R DECT phones and CP930W/CP935W conference phones — the W70B anchors a flexible cordless system for office, warehouse, retail, and hospitality floors. With a powerful chip that supports 10 VoIP accounts and 20 simultaneous calls, the W70B accelerates startup and signal-up while eliminating downtime caused by upgrades through No-Perception Upgrade.

Capacity figures — 10 handsets, 20 simultaneous calls, 10 SIP accounts, up to 6 RT30 repeaters — are documented in the Specifications table above. Wireless coverage extends to 50 m indoors and 300 m outdoors under ideal conditions, sufficient for most single-site office and warehouse deployments. Voice quality is delivered through wideband G.722 and AMR-WB codecs with Yealink Flexible Noise Reduction (FNR) and AEC, plus support for narrowband G.711, G.726, G.729, and iLBC for backward compatibility.

Management runs on Yealink’s standardised toolchain: auto-provisioning via TFTP / FTP / HTTP / HTTPS / RPS, OTA handset upgrades with No-Perception Upgrade (firmware updates without dropping calls), centralised admin via Yealink Device Management Platform (YDMP) on-premise or Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS) cloud. Security covers TLS 1.0/1.2/1.3, SRTP, HTTPS, OpenVPN, L2TP VPN, AES configuration encryption, SHA-256/384/512, and three-level admin/var/user role separation — the security profile expected for business-grade VoIP. Energy-saving ECO Mode / ECO Mode+ reduce power draw outside peak hours.

The W70B is genuine Australian-stocked product through ARC IP Networks. Local warranty handling, pre-sales consultation on DECT site survey and handset pairing, and Australian-based technical support are included. Bulk-deployment quotes and W-series handset pack pricing available on request.
