Professional Overview

The MikroTik RBmAPL-2nD mAP lite is an exceptionally small and versatile 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n wireless access point, meticulously engineered for network professionals and embedded system developers seeking robust connectivity in an ultra-compact form factor. Powered by an efficient QCA9533 CPU and 64MB of RAM, this device delivers reliable Wi-Fi performance and full RouterOS functionality, making it an ideal solution for a multitude of applications where space is limited and flexible deployment is paramount, such as travel, IoT integration, or providing discreet wireless access in small areas.

Despite its diminutive size, the mAP lite offers essential connectivity with a single 10/100 Fast Ethernet port, which also supports Passive Power over Ethernet (PoE-in) across a wide voltage range (10-57V DC). This flexible PoE input allows the device to be powered directly over the network cable, significantly simplifying deployment and reducing cable clutter, especially beneficial for integrating into tight spaces or powering from existing PoE infrastructure. Additionally, a microUSB port provides an alternative 5V power option, further enhancing its portability and versatility, allowing it to be powered by common USB chargers or power banks.

The integrated 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n wireless radio with 2x2 MIMO (Dual Chain) technology and 1.5 dBi integrated antennas delivers reliable Wi-Fi coverage for everyday internet browsing, streaming, and connection of various client devices. While compact, it offers sufficient signal strength for its intended use cases, ensuring stable wireless performance. It's important to note that this model (RBmAPL-2nD) does NOT include a power supply unit, which provides flexibility for users to integrate it into their specific power solutions.

Running MikroTik's industry-leading RouterOS (License Level 4), the mAP lite unlocks an extensive suite of networking functionalities. Network administrators gain granular control over advanced routing, firewall rules, Quality of Service (QoS), VPN support, and VLAN management. This powerful software platform allows users to create secure, flexible, and highly optimized networks tailored to specific operational needs. The MikroTik RBmAPL-2nD mAP lite is an invaluable tool for professionals seeking a highly capable, reliable, and discreet networking device that delivers wired and wireless connectivity with enterprise-grade features, ensuring long-term operational stability and adaptable performance in diverse, space-constrained environments.
