Professional Overview

The MikroTik RBFTC11 is a highly robust and versatile Fiber to Copper converter, meticulously engineered to provide seamless integration of fiber optic networks with traditional Gigabit Ethernet copper infrastructure in demanding outdoor environments. This essential device is an indispensable asset for network professionals and system integrators seeking to extend network reach, eliminate electromagnetic interference, and ensure reliable data transmission where conventional copper cabling falls short. Its rugged outdoor-rated enclosure ensures continuous operation even under extreme weather conditions.

At its core, the RBFTC11 efficiently translates optical signals from an SFP fiber module (not included) into electrical signals compatible with a Gigabit Ethernet copper port. This capability is crucial for connecting fiber backbones to copper-based devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, or other network equipment located outdoors or over long distances. A key feature is its flexible 12-57V PoE (Power over Ethernet) input, which supports both MikroTik's Passive PoE and the universally adopted 802.3af/at standards. This broad compatibility simplifies power sourcing, allowing the device to be powered directly from a PoE switch or injector, reducing the need for separate power lines and streamlining outdoor installations.

Designed for reliability, the RBFTC11's outdoor case provides superior protection against dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures (from -40°C to +70°C). This robust environmental shielding ensures uninterrupted service and maximizes the longevity of the converter and the connected fiber infrastructure. Its compact form factor allows for discreet and flexible mounting on poles or walls (with an optional mounting kit), enabling optimal placement for fiber termination points in various outdoor scenarios, from urban deployments to remote industrial sites.

For applications such as extending corporate LANs to outdoor buildings, connecting remote surveillance cameras over fiber, or deploying outdoor wireless backhauls, the MikroTik RBFTC11 offers a cost-effective and powerful solution. It not only ensures superior signal integrity and long-distance connectivity but also simplifies power management for outdoor devices. By providing a reliable bridge between fiber and copper, this converter is a strategic investment for building resilient, high-performance, and future-proof outdoor network infrastructures, contributing to enhanced network uptime, reduced maintenance costs, and superior overall performance.
