ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light FAQ — DS-2CD3687G3-LIZSUY-SL

What is Smart Hybrid Light on the DS-2CD3687G3-LIZSUY-SL?

Smart Hybrid Light lets the camera choose between warm supplement light and infrared, or run both together. You get true 24/7 colour when you want deterrence and detail, and discreet infrared when you prefer the light off — all switched automatically by the scene.

How far can the DS-2CD3687G3-LIZSUY-SL see?

With the 2.7–13.5 mm motorised lens at full zoom it detects movement out to 220 m and identifies a face at about 22 m. At the wide 2.7 mm end it covers a 112° field of view for broad area coverage.

Does AcuSense reduce false alarms?

Yes. AcuSense uses on-board deep learning to classify whether a target is a person or a vehicle, so alerts from animals, moving foliage and passing headlights are filtered out. That keeps recording and notifications focused on events that matter.

Is this Hikvision bullet suitable for outdoor use in Australia?

It is IP67-rated and operates from −30 °C to 60 °C, so it handles full Australian sun, rain and dust without a housing. It ships with a 3-year Australian warranty supported locally by ARC IP Networks.

How is the DS-2CD3687G3-LIZSUY-SL powered?

It supports IEEE 802.3at (Class 4) PoE for a single-cable install drawing up to 18 W, or 12 VDC where local power is available. A Hikvision AcuSense PoE NVR powers and records the camera over one cable.

Can the camera give a spoken warning to intruders?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio and audible warnings, plus a strobe light. When AcuSense detects a person or vehicle in a guarded zone it can trigger a spoken alert and flashing strobe for active deterrence.

Professional Overview

The Hikvision DS-2CD3687G3-LIZSUY-SL is an 8 MP (4K) Ultra Series motorised varifocal bullet camera built around a large 1/1.8" progressive-scan CMOS sensor. Its 2.7–13.5 mm auto-focus lens lets installers dial in anything from a wide 112° forecourt view to a tight long-range shot from the browser, making it a flexible choice for car parks, building perimeters, loading docks and main entrances.

DarkFighter 2.0 with Smart Hybrid Light delivers vivid 24/7 colour down to 0.001 Lux at F1.2, blending IR and white supplement light (up to 60 m, 3 lighting modes) so you choose between full-colour deterrence and discreet low-profile monitoring. A 130 dB WDR and long-range DORI figures — up to 220 m detection and 22 m identification at the tele end — suit large, high-contrast open sites.

On-board AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify people and vehicles to strip out the false alarms that plague conventional motion detection, while line-crossing, intrusion and region-entrance events make the camera proactive rather than purely evidential. A built-in microphone, speaker and strobe enable spoken warnings and active deterrence the moment a real target is detected.

Housed in an IP67 enclosure rated from −30 °C to 60 °C and powered by 802.3at PoE or 12 VDC, it installs on a single cable and integrates seamlessly with Hikvision AcuSense NVRs. Australian stock from ARC IP Networks.
